Large gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances; gathering island with stools and attached sunroom makes cooking and entertaining a joyful experience. Five spacious bedrooms with large walk-in cedar closets; second floor laundry; roll away twin bed; pack ‘n play, baby gate and high chair available. Private yard with outdoor eating area. Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood. Plentiful off street parking. Close to Mercyhurst University; Gannon University; LECOM; Erie Zoo; Minutes from Penn State Behrend and Historic Downtown Erie and Peninsula. We were 3 couples celebrating a milestone birthday. I chose this house (larger than necessary) so that we would have plenty of space if the weather was poor. We had fabulous weather, but wound up spending much more time indoors instead of out at Presque Isle or in the city because the house was so comfortable. We all love cooking and really appreciated the kitchen. The basement pool table was fun too!

Family Reunion

This home is extremely comfortable, clean and quiet. The kitchen was perfect for family breakfasts and preparing food to take to our family reunion. The location was perfect. Highly recommend this property.

This was our third annual stay at this lovely home. We come to Erie, Pa, from New York, Utah, and California every summer to attend multiple extended family reunions. Many of our extended family live in Erie, so the location is perfect. There are ample conveniences within a 5 mile radius (drug stores, groceries, etc).The home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. The patio area in the back yard has some lovely shade in the late afternoon; perfect for hosting mini-visits with extended family members who are just arriving in Erie or about to travel home. (The gardens need a little TLC.)The Erie Zoo and Glenwood Park/Playground are within walking distance (about 15-20 min), so our kids can take the grandkids for a nice walk if they are getting restless.The home is newly remodeled and very clean. We especially enjoy the spacious kitchen with 2 sinks. We are able to prepare food for the reunions around one sink at the same time that our kids prepare meals for the grandkids at the other sink.The bedrooms are spacious. The master bedroom suite with full bath on the main floor was perfect for our daughter's family with twin babies. The 4 upstairs bedrooms with full bath accommodated the rest of us comfortably. There is a half-bath on the main floor for whenever both bathrooms are in use.We especially enjoyed the finished basement with pool table and TV. The older grandkids are particularly fond of this area of the house.Thank you for another wonderful stay!!

Our whole family was so pleased with the amount of available space in this home. We had 10 guests (3 adult couples and 4 kids) and it never felt like we were in each other’s way! People could hang out in the living area, the dining room, the spacious basement room, or any of the large bedrooms. The two sinks in the kitchen made it so easy to clean up after cooking. The owner Naomi was responsive, helpful, and communicative. We would definitely look for this house again if we come back to Erie to stay with a big group.

Great Big Family Gathering

Wonderfully spacious home for our whole family to be together and enjoy celebrating my daughter's graduation. Plenty of room to spread out but then all come together for meals and socializing. Nice back yard for my grandsons to play and run off energy with sitting area for us to enjoy them.

Nice large house with top-of-the-line appliances

Beautiful 5 bedroom house in a very nice neighborhood. There were a few misleading items in the house description: 1) In the bedroom descriptions, it states there is a crib. It is actually a pack-n-play. 2) It states there is a high chair. We didn't see it. (NOTE: We did not ask the host about it since we didn't see that one is supposed to be available until we got home) 3) There was no outside furniture. In addition, the ceiling fans in the family room and one of the bedrooms made a disturbing/scary noise after running for 15-20 minutes.

Another great stay w family in Erie PA

We had such a good experience last year that our family stayed here again this summer to visit our extended family in Erie. The location is great in a nice quit neighborhood and the home has been newly renovated. The rooms are large and welcoming and there’s even a pool table in the finished basement. All and all a great experience, communication with Naomi was excellent and she was very accommodating!

My wife and I own the local FASTSIGNS center in Downtown Erie. We have lived in almost every zip code in the Erie area as we enjoy restoring and remodeling homes which we have either sold or rented when we move to the next project. We currently live just a few blocks from this home on Sassafras. We prefer staying in homes when we travel with our family and are thrilled to offer this home for your visits to our lovely area.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

My wife, Naomi, and I have enjoyed restoring this house to it's original glory. The home is located in a delightful neighborhood just minutes from the Erie Zoo; Downtown Erie and the beautiful Lake Erie Bayfront. A stately golden brick home built in 1953 it was in great need of some TLC. The sunroom is one of our favorite resting spots and we have enjoyed watching the chipmunks, squirrels, birds and occasional deer in the spacious backyard. Because we are just blocks from the Erie Zoo we can often hear some of the animals during the daytime feedings. The monkeys and peacock are especially enjoyable.
