Going out to discover Amsterdam and surroundings or just finding your quiet spot when working or relaxing, up to four can enjoy a lovely place on one of the Canals.

Everything is within reach, as well as a filmmuseum, 100m high lookout or just a nice restaurant next to the water or even beach. Also going out for nature is a 15 min tour on a bike or car. Or visit one of the famous Musea Amsterdam has by walking up to one of the free Ferries and get into the tram or metro. Even by bike it is only 20 minutes away.

Your host has a lot of knowledge on where one can go, all depending if it needs to be a local, cultural experience or just for food and good music. It's all there you just have to make something good out of it.

We had a great stay in the houseboat. Edwin was an excellent host, very responsive. The houseboat was great, we loved there was an air fryer. Plenty of kitchen and bathroom supplies. We had everything we needed. Perfect for my daughter and I.

Edwin was a great host, very approachable and very accommodating for check in and check out. Gave us great directions to nearby restaurants and shops. Ferry ride to central station and the sights in Amsterdam was very easy to do. Kitchen was well stocked. Unfortunately the nearby laundromat was not open during our stay. Great for two couples

This was such a charming property conveniently located near the train station with access to a ferry. It was so nice to be close to that area while also in a more unique setting. Edwin was such a fantastic host. I communicated with him several times leading up to our arrival, and he always responded promptly. He also provided many tips for our brief stay. Upon our arrival, he also took the time to give us some more information about Amsterdam's layout. He truly appreciated his efforts.

Excellent little apartment. My only recommendations would be to have screens on the back door to prevent mosquitos and another fan. A small microwave would have been nice but not necessary. I would recommend and stay there again.

This is a thing on our todo list an screen for the sliding door. The microwave we have exchanged for the air fryer.. which we think works more efficiently. Anyway a new screen will be placed soon… thank you for the tip…greetings Edwin

We had a great stay at this property. The property was exactly as advertised and was just right for three people. It certainly was close to the center of Amsterdam but far enough to be quiet. I would certainly stay here again.

Only minutes to free 24/7 ferry to downtown Amsterdam, close to all, restaurants, supermarkets, bike rentals, etc. Very quiet area. Great host, good communications, fast check in, available for advice on where to go.

Great Boat House

Loved the houseboat experience

The houseboat apartment is a perfect way to enjoy a visit to Amsterdam. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful and the location is a short walk to the free ferry to the heart of historic Amsterdam. We would love to stay here again!

Cozy houseboat

Very nice stay om Edwin's houseboat. Location is very good in a quit canal on the North side but still close to Central Station. 10 min walk to the free ferry witch run 24/7.The apartment is well equipped. There is heated floors and a nice bathroom.

We are a multicultural family and enjoy living the city live of Amsterdam. As travellers ourselves we love to go out into Europe for nature or city vacation/trips. Lately we are discovering Eastern Europe which used to be a blindspot. We build our own Houseboat recently and enjoy sharing it with travellers. As an Art Historian i am familiar with the hotspots and cultural life to visit and my wife nows all about where to shop. Want to experience pure Amsterdam cultural life, just let us now.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Living on a Houseboat is unique in a busy city like Amsterdam. It provides lots of space and comfort as well as nice views over the water and a nice city garden. It gives you an all year of vacation-feeling compared to most homes because of the light surroundings and water. And for the location we have best of both worlds, just walk into town or take a bike into nature, and not having to much traffic in the direct surroundings.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Waterfront, musea and citylife all on a short walking distance away. Even swimming in the Canal if the watertemperature is OK in the summertime (july-aug-sept).
