Lush hilltop living in this stunning, fully air-conditioned Spanish Colonial Revival home with classic California charm and sweeping city and hillside views. There are 64 steps up to the house from the street but so worth it! Fenced and gated for privacy, it is perched in the Hollywood Hills, a ten-minute walk from Universal Studios and City Walk. Its central location is close to the Hollywood Bowl and the Bowl shuttle lot, Griffith Park, hiking, the LA Zoo, shopping and restaurants. Formal living and dining rooms, two patios, shaded backyard hammock for relaxing or reading, outdoor dining area, and free parking make this home perfect for entertaining, vacationing, work, or romantic getaways.

Beautiful Vintage Home!
This is a special vintage house in a very convenient location to explore LA and Hollywood! Julia is an excellent host: communicative and welcoming! Love the cat vibe. One of the best parts of our stay was the time we spent just relaxing in the house: enjoying the windows in the living room; using the well-appointed kitchen; sleeping in the comfortable beds. As some have noted, the stairs are formidable; however, it’s well worth the climb.

Fantastic house on the hill
We were a group of 4 that stayed for two nights. We could have stayed for a lot longer and just hung out at this place. It was one of the most amazing places I’ve stayed at. Bedrooms really cozy and two great bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen and nice area outside to sit. Other people have mentioned the stairs but this didn’t bother us. The host was really responsive and helpful. Would go back again in a minute.

Such a beautiful home!
The home was just as the pictures, it was so cute and very clean! Bed was super comfy also. Perfect location to visit universal or Hollywood. Communicating with the host was great she was very helpful and kind. Cats were very cute too :)

The property was so amazing! old Hollywood vibes! The house was well stocked with anything you could need. The beds were super comfortable and the owner is absolutely lovely! A truly wonderful experience!

I'm a music lover and movie buff who enjoys having the opportunity to see special screenings and summer concerts at the Hollywood Bowl. I listen to NPR, read the New Yorker and the Times from both coasts and sometimes use all that extra info at trivia nights.

I like old buildings and old houses with all their quirks and charm. I try to be a traveler, not a tourist.

I have two cats named Griffin and Sabine who keep me amused with their antics.

I've always wanted to live in a 1920s Spanish-style stucco house in the Hollywood Hills, so here I am! I love the quiet surroundings, winding streets, views of the hills, and the friendly neighbors. The Hollywood Bowl is my happy place in the summer, so I enjoy being just a few minutes away. There are many restaurants and even a movie theatre within walking distance, and I'm just off the 101 for easy access to the rest of L.A., its parks, shopping and dining.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

It's hard to find houses with any original features intact, much less one with views of the city and the hills. I love the horizontal-paned windows, the orchid tile in the hall bath, the California art tile around the fireplace, and the views of the city and the hills. I also enjoy having rose bushes and mature fruit trees (tangerine, lemon, apple, peach) in the back yard. I've tried to restore the house and make it a warm, comfortable space for guests.
