Rental agreement is required with ID verification.
Pet Policy: This property is pet-friendly by approval only. A maximum of 2 pets are permitted with payment of a $150 pet fee per stay. All pets must be disclosed and approved prior to arrival. Pets must be house-trained and properly supervised at all times. Pets may not be left unattended inside the property unless securely crated. Pets are not permitted on furniture or bedding. Guests are fully responsible for any damages, additional cleaning, pest treatment, or violations resulting from pets.

Inventory: We provide a "starter package" of inventory for our cabin: 3 rolls of T.P. and 1 full roll of paper towels.
Firewood is available for purchase.
We do not provide propane exchanges for the grill. The nearest exchange is approximately 5 miles at the Dollar General Store.

The place was clean. We loved that we felt like home with dishes and utensil for cooking. The kids loved the games downstairs, and we enjoyed everyone having their own space.

The hist was amazing and made our time here great. We really felt like home and everything was comfortable and the bathrooms were huge! The fireplace was a great touch on some coulder nights and we would deffinetly stay again.

Provide propane for the gas grill. I've never had a host that had a policy of 'bring your own propane'. Why have a gas grill, if you can't use it.

Beautiful property in a quiet area of Makanda. We made several trips to Giant City State Park which was extremely convenient.We had to contact the host several times and Allison was very speedy with her responses and resolved a couple of minor issues that we experienced. We had 5 seniors in our party and we all had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our week.

Home was in great shape a few spiders when we arrived but to be expected. We were given plenty of information for the surrounding area for things to do and places to eat.

Cabin near Wine Trail

These accommodations were perfect for our girls group weekend getaway! We very comfortably slept 8 and the location was great for visiting wineries and state parks. The place was very clean and well stocked. Beautiful inside and outside! Definitely recommend!

Friends annual fishing trip

We have been coming to the southern Illinois area for over 25 years for our annual fishing trip. We have stayed in many vacation rentals, and each had their own unique experiences. Most positive, some not so much. Hartline was a fantastic experience, and our group loved the property. Accessing location and amenities were perfect. One of the best things I enjoyed personally was how the property owner or manager was very responsive to texts or emails. Love this property and location and would recommend this rental for groups of 8 or more over any other property in the area.5 star rating from our group. Thank you Hartline for a wonderful experience.

A few days with friends

The property had everything we needed to enjoy time with friends. However, there was an issue with the heat that was resolved on our second day. But it did take some persistence on our part. A little more attention to winter weather issues would have made our stay perfect.

Perfect for everyone to hang out together!

This house was the perfect setup for our family to be together in one big room to eat, play games and just hang out. We made use of the ping pong table and dart board and enjoyed sitting around the campfire in the evenings. It was very clean and nicely stocked. I would definitely recommend to any group. We had a really nice weekend!
