Nestled in the heart of the North GA mountains lies Casa Cartecay LIJ. This rustic home is situated on 5 acres and the property hosts spectacular mountain, Cartecay River, and Licklog Creek views. You will, no doubt, feel emersed in nature while visiting this home as you take in the sights & sounds that make this area so special.

This house is perfect for families, large groups, company retreats, or anyone who is looking for a peaceful escape. The home has 3 levels with the master and en suite bath on the main and 4 large bedrooms upstairs. The lower level offers a large room perfect for unwinding, gaming, working out, or accessing the hot tub on the patio. The outdoor space has a play structure for kids, basketball goal, fire pit, grill, and several seating areas surrounding the house. Casa Cartecay LIJ comfortably sleeps 10.

The home's location is amazing for soaking in all Ellijay has to offer. We are in "apple alley" only minutes from Ellijay's top 3 apple orchards and multiple beautiful wineries. There are numerous hiking and biking trails nearby along with kayaking and tubing experiences only minutes away. No need to drive far; your outdoor adventure awaits on the property as the home is just steps away from nature trails and a creek perfect for wadding or fishing. Visit downtown Ellijay, only 6 miles away, and enjoy many local shops & unique dining experiences.

We provide lots of extras to make our guests' experience the best it can be. There really is something for everyone here & we can't wait for you to call Casa Cartecay LIJ your home away from home!

Love this property! So much space inside and out. The downstairs room is a nice feature—-exercise equipment, several games and a TV area. We have been coming to Ellijay for almost 10 years and this is our favorite. The drive to town is easy
.no steep twisted drive. It was very cold and we didn’t have much time, however there are several outdoor spaces (play set, large porch, hot tub, and fire pit) that are great!

Our host, Michelle Holloway, was wonderful! Quickly responsive, gave excellent instructions and information, and was very understanding when there was an incident with a piece of furniture. All together a fantastic experience with this VRBO stay and with Michelle guiding the way!!

My family and I visit north Georgia annually for Decoration. The cabin is located near Ellijah. Plenty of room for all of us. Loved the short walk to the creek. Near tubing and other activities.

Great property, plenty of room. Not to off the beaten path. Very clean. Would recommend and would stay their again. Only real negative is the kitchen probably could use some more cookware although we made by with what was there. Overall a definite A

Had a GREAT weekend here

The property was everything we expected. All 10 of us had a great time. Our host Michelle was awesome! The place was clean and fun. I highly recommend for families with kids.

Property very clean...sleep accomodation were great...kitchen was great...parking was great...fire pit and hot tub were awesome. All around a great set-up. I would have 1 suggestion. The benches at the table are extremely flimsy. As an insurance agent, I would suggest to replace them with chairs that are the correct height. The existing chairs are short for the table height, and the benches are VERY unsteady, and don't feel comfortable. One of my team members almost fell twice at them. Other than that...a great rental!!

Beautiful Home in the Ellijay Mountains

Property was in a beautiful location. Quiet and peaceful. Lots of room to spread out in including a game room and play and exercise area. Beds were comfortable. Property manager was very prompt with answering questions. Hot tub was relaxing. Nice wrap around deck to sit on and enjoy nature. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful stay!

Our group had a great stay at casa cartecay for the week. The house was stocked with everything we needed (soap, garbage bags etc). The bedrooms were spacious and decorated nicely and so comfortable. All the games were a hit with the kids as well as the playground and basketball goal. We could go for walks each day to the creek. The property manager responded immediately with any questions and concerns. My 3 year old said the best part of the trip was riding her scooter on the giant wrap around porch. Will definitely go back!

2 families with 6 small kids

We met with our close friends and their kids at this cabin for an extended weekend visit, and we had a great time! We were 4 adults and 6 children total, ages 2-6. The setup of the house was great for us and exactly what we were looking for: fun at the house without going anywhere else. The playset and basketball goal were hits, as well as the wrap around porch, creek, and hot tub. We also prepared all of our meals there utilizing the kitchen and grill. The property manager was extremely helpful with answering inquiries before we booked, and with being available while we were there. Would recommend for young families!

A gathering with friends

We had a wonderful weekend in this lovely mountain home! Communication was very good prior to check in. The kitchen was well stocked with any needed items, the the rooms were a nice size and comfortable. Although we did not use it, the basement has a lot to offer! Ping pong, exercise equipment and a nice sitting area to watch tv. We will definitely look to rebook this property on our next visit to Elijay!!
