Edenton historic trip

Great trip and accommodations were very good. The location was perfect and Josh was very helpful and always answered promptly. I highly recommend this house and loved Edenton.

We liked the layout and central location of this house. The neighborhood is cute and felt safe. There were a few small issues with interior doors not locking and some areas not being cleaned/vacuumed but Josh replied promptly that he will address those issues. Overall, cute house, it worked well for our family of 6.

Property was very nice with up-to-date furniture and appliances. All rooms had flat screen TV'S. Only thing that I didn't like was the ceiling fan having an over abundance of dirt/ dust on it which made me reluctant to use it.

Fishing for fun

This was our second time using this property to host an annual men’s fishing trip in the Edenton area. The property offers comfortable lodging, convenience to shopping, dining and more importantly it is convenient to some of our favorite fishing locations on and around the Chowan. We enjoyed our stay in Edenton- sleepy relaxing town. The property is convenient to downtown but needs some TLC. It was obvious the owner had not been at the property in quite a while- grass overgrown and unkept. The home smelled very musty and stale. We purchased Lysol to try and cover some of it. Home is nice just needs more attention when guests are coming in.

Edenton, a great place to visit

The location of this property was ideal for easy access to the town & all it has to offer. Also, this neighborhood is quiet and very peaceful. No noisy traffic or neighbors. The house suited our needs in every way. The only negative was the squeaky bed in the king bedroom. The host was most gracious & attentive to all my requests. We’ve stayed here before & probably would again if he could fix that bed.

Comfortable stay with everything you need

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property. We stayed for 10 days and felt the house had pretty much everything we needed for an extended stay. It could’ve been a little cleaner, but I shared that information with the host and he promised to speak with the cleaning service. The check in process and communication were great. The location is convenient - very much a residential neighborhood.

Fishing trip stay

Location was perfectly centralized to the areas we wanted to fish in eastern North Carolina. Facilities at the location were perfect to accommodate our group Our only recommendation would be an upgraded TV service. Other than that this is a highly recommended location for vacationers and fisherman visiting the area.

Great stay. During the tropical storm, roof leaked in living room. We could not find the trash bin There was a recycle bin in front of the house. Bed was squeaky but comfortable. Nice pretty remodel.

The house is spacious, it did however smell strongly of cigarette smoke, there were many many air fresheners and air purifier there but did not help, it flared our allergies. I contacted host and concern was brushed off with “can’t control if people smoke in it” it was listed as a smoke free property. I also did not feel that it was very clean, the shower curtain in the main bathroom had multiple stains on it, there was a used tissue in between comforter and sheets, behind the bed was dusty and had trash in it, blue soap scum in shower, coffee pot was dirty, lines were cleaned but dingy. Would not stay again mostly due to smell.

Edenton/Morris Circle

This home offered the space we needed. The outdoor seating areas were lovely. The grill did not work consistently. We got it to work when we tried it to clean it but not when we wanted to use it. There weren’t grilling utensils. Two of the baking sheets in the kitchen were rusty and we could not get them clean enough to safely use. Come prepared with EVERYTHING you need to cook. There isn’t any convenience items that you often find in VRBOs. There was a strong musty smell in the home. Most of the house aired out eventually but the bedroom with the king never did. No bath mat in main bath and dish towel (1) was heavily soiled.

Title: Unacceptable Cleanliness for the Price - Do Not RecommendWe are very disappointed with our stay at this property. For the high cleaning fee charged, we expected a clean and comfortable home. Unfortunately, this was far from the case.The house had a musty, stuffy smell upon arrival that never really went away. The first thing we noticed was the layer of dust and grime on all the ceiling fans; they were so dirty that we had to spend our first hour cleaning them ourselves just to feel safe turning them on.The bathroom was the worst part. The bathtub was terribly stained to the point where we didn't feel comfortable using it. The shower curtains and liners were mildewed and clearly need to be replaced immediately—they are a health hazard.The final straw was the linens. The provided bedding and towels had a questionable odor and did not feel fresh. We ultimately made an unplanned trip to the store and spent over 200 on new bedding, towels, and washcloths just to have a basic level of comfort.It is completely unacceptable to charge a premium cleaning fee for a property that is so poorly maintained. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and have never felt the need to do such extensive cleaning and shopping ourselves. We cannot recommend this property to anyone.

Great for family stay

This property is beautifully renovated and is a perfect location to enjoy edenton and all it has to offer. We used it mostly as an extension to sleep in as my parents live in the area and we were all home for the holidays. The king bed was the only one slept in as we had pack n plays for our kids and the bed was comfy although a little squeaky! The other rooms had plenty of room for the pack n plays and there were tubs to bathe the kids in too. The host was WONDERFUL to work with as we had a change in plans and had to adjust our dates-he was so agreeable and quick to communicate. The only issue we had was the thermostat. Because of its location in the hall, once the doors were shut, the temps in the bedrooms were hard to keep constant. They were 8-10 degrees higher or lower than what the thermostat was set on depending on whether we were trying heat or air at that point. But other than that, a perfect place for family stays. Thanks Josh!
