We had a very nice stay at this home! The kitchen was well equipped and our hosts were very quiet upstairs as well as responsive and pleasant. This place is great for a couple and perfectly dog friendly. We were able to charge our EV, a real bonus! We are in our 70s, so the walk to the beach, combined with the hot weather, was a bit challenging. We found everything we needed at Deluxe Foods in Rio Del Mar, only a few minutes away.We will be back for other Santa Cruz County visits! Thank you!

10/10 as always! We LOVE staying at Mark and Lisa’s place. We have stayed at many locations, and this is by far the best and our favorite place to stay. It is the cleanest, most well stocked, and best location! Mark and Lisa think of everything you might need, from beach towels and chairs, coffee pods, toiletries, and even a stick of butter in the fridge! Can’t wait to come back again!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome by leaving bottled water, welcome snacks, plenty of towels, and a thoughtful welcome binder filled with helpful information and local recommendations. Communication was always quick and friendly, and we truly felt well taken care of throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay here again and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

We spent a lovely weekend here and highly recommended. The place is very clean and well appointed. We stayed with our pet and were within walking distance to the beach. Every other dog there was on a leash and well behaved. The beach is semi-secluded so very few people as well. Lovely time spent there. Communication with host was direct and answers were timely. Would definitely visit again!

Great spot

Excellent place and host. The unit was the right size for our small family with easy walking access down to the beach. We stayed four nights and the kids didn’t want to leave. Perfect proximity to Santa Cruz and Monterey with many places between. Mark was very accommodating and responsive, super host.

Best quiet place near beach

The owner was amazing to work with and communicate with. This gave us just enough space to spread out for the little bit of time we weren’t “seeing” California or on the beach. Master bedroom is spacious and kitchen is well equipped

Relaxing, luxe, light, airy, loved art on walls.

Enjoyed the spacious bedroom with artsy chic vibe. great kitchen for making breakfast and extra bed. We could see the ocean in the distance which was relaxing. We had a fun time enjoying s'mores with their firepit too.

Great time in La Selva beach

We had a great stay in La Selva Beach. The property is just as described. Hosts were very prompt with responses. The beach is walking distance. It is a lovely quiet neighborhood and perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Super relaxation

The property was very clean in a beautiful and peaceful location. The rooms were just the right size for the two of us with our two small dogs. The furniture was stylish and very comfortable especially in the main bedroom. The home was just a 10 minute walk to the beach which was not crowded with clean sand.

lovely spot

My son and I stayed two nights while visiting family in Santa Cruz and Watsonville. The space was lovely. It was very clean, well funrnished and filled with art. The hosts had thought of everything. We appreciated the notebook with directions to the beach, suggests of local walks and restaurtants.

Beautiful serene and peaceful setting. Easy access to the beach. Easy communication with the host. Loved all of the wildlife. Very comfortable and spacious.For us, the only challenge was the tub shower. A bar handle would be helpful

Great place to relax and enjoy the beach, forest and wildlife

We had a wonderful time and felt from the first moment right at home. Our dogs and kids had lots of outdoor space to explore and the interior of the house is decorated with beautiful art pieces, furniture, comfortable beds, welcoming binder, welcoming gift of making your own smores, and the kitchen had everything to make any dinner and my son even baked a cake. The host was for any questions available and this will be not our last time at La Selva Beach.

Lovely Getaway

We loved our stay! The place is even better in person. Very spacious with all the little details to make it feel like home. Our kids were excited to find board games and we appreciated the snacks after a long trip. One thing to note is that the room with twin bed does not have a door. This wasn’t a problem for us at all but may not work for some groups. We also enjoyed all the host’s beautiful art. Would come back!

Great summer getaway

We had a wonderful time here. The place had all the amenities that we could ask for and it was very clean. The host was very communicative and accommodating. We had a wonderful time. only one small quibble was that it was listed as a two bedroom but one bedroom didn’t have a door on it, (it was adjacent to the living room) which didn’t prove to be a big issue. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Hopefully we will get a chance to return at some point.

Vaca in La Selva

Unique and comfy home; cleverly decorated. Beautiful surroundings and quiet at night. The ability to walk to an uncrowded beach was great. We hiked at Nisene Marks and Fort Ord Dunes State Parks. We ate at Jalisco and Sukho Thai in Watsonville, and Dharma's (vegetarian comfort food) in nearby Capitola, and sampled local Craft beer at Fruition, Corralitos, and Beer Mule. Spent a day in San Juan Bautista--don't miss Bear's Hideaway, where you can enjoy wine, beer, and/or a cigar on the patio.

Beautiful and Peaceful

We had a great experience here! For me, it was a teenage boy and dog summer vacation. For those familiar with the area, it's between La Selva Beach and Watsonville. Very away from it all, quiet, restful. The walk to the beach is very doable. Everything we needed was there. The owner checks in to make sure, and was so helpful when we had a flat tire and needed to find a place to fix it. It's exactly "as advertised" and I highly recommend it here! Enjoy!
