MidCentury Garden Level by Downtown

A quaint Victorian home with apt #4 decorated mid century style. Comes with the comforts of home featuring a well equipped kitchen. If you're looking for something unique, cozy, and close to downtown, then apt #4 is the place for you.
The space
Your home away from home is a totally private apartment. Off street parking is available. There is an entrance from outside directly into the apartment. This is a garden level apartment, it is not a deep basement apartment. No need to worry about getting to the supermarket right away; your first morning breakfast snack is provided. The kitchen is equipped with popular spices, a coffee maker, French press, toaster, blender, gas stove, microwave, and a full size fridge.
There is an iron and board.
I can set up a Graco Play n Pack on request but this is not a toddler friendly apartment.
The restroom comes with all the soaps you need to freshen up: shampoo, body wash, conditioner, hand soap, towels and blow dryer.
The living room comes with a queen size sofa bed for two guests. There is also a DVD player with a few movies. There are local channels to watch on TV but no cable or satellite networks.
High speed Internet is provided to make your stay more convenient. The code is on the fridge.
There is a coin laundry available on the lower level of the house. The backdoor door located at the back of the kitchen leads you to the laundry room, also known as "The Dungeon." Please do not lock the laundry room door from the inside that leads to the outside on the other side of the house.
There is also a picnic table on the back patio for all guests to use.

A welcome letter will be sent to you a few days before your arrival with access information. I will give you the code to enter the apartment at that time. No need to worry about meeting up with me because you do not need a key, it is actually very convenient.

Guests will have no trouble communicating with me through texting or a phone call. I love hosting and love making life easy for visitors.
I live about 30 minutes away from the apartment but am available and there to help if needed.

The house is located in an established, quiet neighborhood and is located just minutes from downtown Colorado Springs. There is also a city park in walking distance, a bike trail, and Fifty-Fifty Coffee House.

You can hop on the city bus just two blocks away, walk downtown, or just take your car.

Entire apartment, Laundry room, private parking, and back patio is available for your use.
Other things to note
This is an entire apartment for rent. The house was converted from a one family home to 4 apartments many, many years ago in the 1950's. It has many characteristics of an older home so you will hear other people walking around from time to time above you, I do tell the guest above to be aware of this and be kind.

Awesome get away

This place was exactly as described. We enjoyed our stay and the ambiance of the place. Downtown is walkable (about 15 min), mountain hiking/parks is about 20min.

Cozy, clean, cute, and comfortable!

We loved our stay at this retro apartment! A quiet neighborhood not too far from Garden of the Gods (well worth a visit and free!), Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs, etc. So nice to come back to a space of our own at the end of a day. If you are on the tall side (6 ft or over), stepping up into the tub to shower might put you close to the ceiling but other than that we thought it was well equipped, clean, and comfortable.

Cozy Vintage Apartment

I love this place! Decorated so cute. Very comfortable. Wonderful location. Fully equipped kitchen. I referred it to my family as my “I Love Lucy” kitchen. Host was exceptional and had every detail taken care of including bottled water, sparkling water, breakfast bars and a coffee variety on hand. I highly recommend this property for a vintage experience.

My husband, Danny, and I have been married for 38 years and we live in Palmer Lake, just 30 minutes north of Colorado Springs. We have two grown sons, one married and two precious grandsons. We travel a lot to Sweden to visit our former exchange student and his family. We are the American grandparents:) Our next big project is building our Overlander and traveling off grid. This property is unique in that it used to be a one family home until is was converted into four separate apartments in the 1950's. Each apartment has a different time period theme that my husband and I designed. We also did all the work remodeling.
