An ideal setting in both summer and winter, this multi-level townhome in the heart of McHenry boasts a gorgeous view of Deep Creek Lake and a prime, ski-in/ski-out location mere steps from one of the lifts at Wisp Resort. Please note that this unit does not have air conditioning.

This end-unit townhome is perfectly situated on a quiet street, right on the slopes of Wisp Resort. Wisp is the ultimate outdoor adventure hub, offering 11 miles of ski trails, tubing, and a mountain coaster across its expansive 137 acres. For warmer months, you'll have easy access to a community lake area, Adventure Sports Center International, Funland, and several dining options, all within two miles. Deep Creek Lake State Park is just a short, nine-mile drive away, offering even more opportunities for exploration.

One of the standout features of this home is the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains, treetops, and Deep Creek Lake. Enjoy your morning coffee on the balcony, or fire up the gas grill on the patio for a scenic afternoon barbecue.

Spanning 1,920 square feet across multiple levels, this home has been recently updated with a new roof, new screen doors, and other renovations. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, with a cozy breakfast nook by the window, while the separate dining area is perfect for meals or gathering around for board games. The living room invites relaxation with its plush sofas, TV (offering cable and streaming), and lake-facing windows that let in abundant natural light.

Of the home's comfortable bedrooms, three feature direct access to the outdoors, offering guests a private retreat. Additional conveniences include a private washer/dryer and complimentary WiFi.

Things to Know
The Villages of Wisp is a quiet family-oriented townhouse community located on the WISP ski slopes. Quiet Time begins at 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. and includes turning off exterior flood and cafe lights.
The fireplace is not for guest use.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

We'll be back

Me and my family really had a nice stay here... Although we initially thought there was Central Air and that would deter me from booking her in the middle of the summer... however, during the color months or even winter months, I'll definitely be back.

Lovely home

Overall we loved this home. Clean, comfortable and well stocked with all we needed. However the supposed complimentary WiFi was unavailable since it asked for a logon and password when we were told there was no password. Also there was no air conditioning but the listing said there was.

Disappointed

The place was very unclean. On the stove top was a mess , utensils were dirty, most fans were filled with dust. We opened a cabinet and it stuck horribly and we found a bag with egg carton and trash, how on earth was there a cleaning person prior to us checking in? There were several lights missing lightbulbs, which was taken care of quickly. Overall disappointing experience , we paid a good amount of included for cleaning and it’s hard to believe that place had been cleaned in months.I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Few maintenance issues

Pros: The property is conveniently located near WISP Resort, making it easy to access. There were plenty of towels provided, and the beds were clean. The Roku TV was easy to use and worked well.Cons: Several maintenance issues need attention. The bedroom and bathroom door handles and locks were faulty—they wouldn’t close properly and, when locked, were difficult to open. The main door had similar problems, and the storm doors were noisy and needed repair. The drain and sink in the basement bathroom also required maintenance, and the bathroom door got locked without a tool available to open it. Additionally, we found chewing gum stuck under the kitchen breakfast bar in the living room. The utensils and cookware were unclean, so we had to wash them all before use.

awful property management

We checked into the property and immediately noticed the smoke detector was going off because it did not have a working battery. Additionally there was a foul smell in the property (like the smell had been sitting there for days). We immediately notified the property management via phone as well as text and email. We continuously followed up yet no one showed up to fix the issue. Our stay was ruined by the continuous beeping from the smoke detecter. They jeopardized our safety by not having working smoke detectors and failing to fix the issue despite multiple attempts. They continuously passed us around and ignored our requests to fix the issue.e
