The property offers a clean, inviting and spacious atmosphere, and located in a quite neighborhood with sidewalks. The kitchen was adequately supplied and all appliances worked. Perfect for our stay.

Host was very unprofessional. Canceled my reservation the day of my reservation stating that she has the property booked at another platform. Poor management.. if she was posting on multiple sites she should have marked it sold on vrbo to avoid inconvenience. I lost my 50 one key reward over this reservation and I had to pay very high amount for alternate accommodation as I had to make last minute same day reservation. Host Katie also never responded to my messages when I reported to her that my reservation is still active and I am unable to book another one on the app while my credit card is charged full amount for this stay.

Not bad. A little out dated. One window air conditioner for the whole apartment, in the master bedroom. Bed in the middle bedroom had a very uncomfortable mattress. Only 6 inches deep and I could feel the metal frame under it. Good location. Close to the center square.

Roomy and quiet; could use some TLC

The neighborhood was quiet and the living space was roomy. The owner was very responsive and appears to have done significant work inside. We found the place a little rough around the edges, though: the old building had a ceiling leak during recent abnormally heavy rains (a new roof is scheduled, however). A curtain bracket came down, we had trouble closing the dishwasher, one of the lamps wouldn't turn on, there was grease spatter on the microwave and stovetop.

Prompt Assistance with Property Issues

Our hosts are obviously trying very hard to make their property a comfortable and appealing place to stay. They were very helpful with the numerous issues we had with the plumbing, appliances, heating/cooling, etc. We would suggest some new mattresses and updated appliances. Regular yard work and repairs to the exterior of the building would make the property safer and more appealing, as well. We hope the owners can resolve some of these issues ... this property has great potential and is in a wonderful location for people visiting the West Hartford, CT area. And we thank them for all the help they provided during our stay.

Rough Start, but Smooth Sailing...

We arrived late after a long day of travel and discovered a breaker had been tripped turning off the air conditioning. The house was 80+ degrees. We were able to get everything running, but opted to stay at our daughter's place for a restful night's sleep. Our host, Katie, was very apologetic and was gracious enough to refund our first night's stay...that was very much appreciated. The property is exactly as advertised - very clean and comfortable. Street parking was never an issue during our stay...pretty much felt like home after a couple days... 10 out of 10 - would recommend this property to others!

1st Floor stay

On the plus side this apartment is very large and clean and Katie is a very responsive host. The house is rather old and could use some basic updating. We were concerned about the large number of extension cords and power strips. The front stairs seem precarious and the interior walls need a better paint job. The beds were comfortable and she has lovely comforters. She could use higher quality towels. If you don't really care about these details or esthetics, this is a great space. It is a lot of house to maintain, and I definitely think this host is trying her best.

We were very disappointed when we arrived to the property on a hot summer day and found that it did not have central air conditioning! It had a noisy window unit a few inches away from the bed in one of the two bedrooms and a floor unit in the dining room. So one of us would freezed and likely have unable to sleep and the other would have to sweat and be unable to sleep. In the listing, it states "air conditioning" and the photos lack any with window units or the floor unit. When we messaged the owner she responded that she'd bring an additional unit. Why wouldn't you have already had working units in every room and this should have been disclosed in the first place. We passed on several other properties because they had window units and would have done so here as well. We informed her the owner we decided to cancel and left 30 minutes after we arrived. We asked for a refund on our 3 day stay and crickets, we received no further responses from her and no credit for the days we were not on the property. There were other issues but that's the mirracle of good photos and the chance you take...having central air in the summer should not be one of them.
