This unique architectural gem, nestled inside the iconic Commander Grain Elevator, is located in the historic & vibrant heart of downtown Stillwater, MN. Just a stone's throw away from the St. Croix River w/ convenient access to walking/biking trails, boating, restaurants, shops & entertainment. The Commander has been carefully renovated over the past 30 years by the owner/architect. It's a fabulous 1.5 Story apartment w/ 1 bdrm. + a daybed, 1 bath, gourmet kitchen, views++!!

PLEASE NOTE: If you need/want space for more guests we do have North Bin adjacent to this property. It sleeps a maximum of 5 guests. There are two condos in the Commander - Stillwater so you'd have the space to yourselves!

Great views!

South Bin apartment was very nice, with great views of the river. We had a few issues, but the hosts were very quick to respond and fix them. It was a little loud at night (because of it being close to a couple bars), but overall, it was very comfortable place.

Relaxing weekend

Fantastic views and a great experience but be prepared for stairs to this top of the Mill apartment. Loved strolling through the streets of Stillwater, quaint while enjoying wonderful December weather in Minnesota.

Amazing space located in downtown Stillwater!

We loved the North Bin! It was gorgeously decorated but still felt homey. There were so many little spaces to sit and drink coffee, wine and play games. Don’t let the steps deter you, our five-year-old handled them like a champ. It was amazing being so close to downtown, while still having a little privacy on the balcony. The owners were quick to respond and everything was smooth. We enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Stay!

This property is a very special place! It is very historical, industrial and spacious. The views of downtown Stillwater and the river can be seen throughout the entire place. It was right in downtown, so there was easy access to everything. Having the reserved parking space was great, because we stayed on a very busy weekend in Stillwater. We were fully prepared for the amount of stairs we would have to climb to get to the condo, so they were not a problem for us! Lastly, the check in and out process were very simple and communicated very well by the host! This space was very special and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in a unique and historic part of Stillwater.

Pictures didn't do it justices

This is a gorgeous property. Very well thought out and appointed. High end furnishings and my husband grew up on a farm and loved that there was a lot of original wood and details from the grain bin. The location can't be beat. Right on the river and closet to bars and restaurants.... so close that on the weekends we could appreciate some of the live music in the unit itself. We didn't let it bother us. We did notice there was a large group in the other unit in the grain bin but it's quite well soundproofed inside and we didn't hear a peep from them. We could walk to all our dinner and spa reservations and shop up and down main street no problem. We did park right next to the rental in the designated spot, no problem. The stairs were not a problem for us, in fact we loved the views on the patio and a bit of exercise at the end of the day. However, there are a LOT of stairs so if you have bad knees this is not the rental for you. Overall this was one of the best places we have stayed. We absolutely loved it.
