Riverfront Retreat w/ Mountain Views

Relax on 2 acres of the Arkansas River’s edge in this calm, stylish space with your friends and family. Spaciousness and views abound - from views of the Arkansas River to the peaks of Mount Princeton. One mile north is the charming town of Buena Vista, with fine dining at South Main's famous “Surf Hotel”.

The space: The house is the creation of former designer and avid meditator, Cathy. Cathy and her small pup, Ananda, live on the north end of the property when she is not traveling or visiting her children in Denver. You may see Cathy and Ananda wandering on the two acres of property during your stay, but will respect your privacy. Cathy’s daughter Lindsay is your Host and is the main contact.

Guest access:
As the guest, you'll have access to the main house, the bicycle pump track, the south garden, and the south beach of the Arkansas River.

The property has three living spaces:
(1) The main house, which is where you stay as the VRBO guest.
(2) A private studio attached to the north side of the main house. For an additional price, the addition of the studio can be added to your rental.
(3) A separate guest house on the north of the property. This is where Cathy and her pup Ananda live.

Amazing place for a family gathering

The property is absolutely beautiful inside and out. There’s a wonderful area to sit by the fire pit as well as to grill. My family and I had a wonderful time here. Would definitely stay again!

Can't say enough positive about this property! Oh my goodness, it's just magical!!! Situated right on the river so you can constantly enjoy the sound of the running water and the sun shining through the trees reflecting below. Then on the other side of the house you look through the beautiful property adorned with sunflowers and other wildflowers to the gorgeous mountains. It's hard to know where to sit in the house because every view is so spectacular! We would love to come back!!!!

Awesome location!

This property is beautiful, well stocked, and just feels like home! We were approved to have a small dinner for rehearsal dinner and this location could not have been more perfect. The bedrooms are so comfortable. I will recommend this to all my friends!

Beautiful, Stylish, Relaxing Gem

This property is a dream. Between the incredible design (thanks to the talented owner herself), art, decor, and incredible furniture, the peaceful, private setting right on the Arkansas River, and the great location 1 mile from downtown Buena Vista, this property is truly incredible. Easily the best VRBO we've ever stayed in. The owner is kind and friendly and has created the most wonderful oasis to enjoy with loved ones. Truly cannot say enough great things about our entire experience.

Great stay in this outdoor oasis

The property was wonderful. So many outdoor seating areas to accommodate every need. The kids had a blast at the river and on the awesome pump track in the front yard. The fire pit out back was perfect and seating down by the river was always a welcome escape. Cathy was right next door and promptly available for any of our questions or needs. We will be back!

A Little Slice Of Heaven

Cathy’s place is breathtaking. The attention to detail and design is unmatched and only upstaged by the outdoor beauty from all angles. Our family enjoyed the cozy spaces to eat together, enjoy the fire pit overlooking the River and snuggle up and just relax. We were only a mile from Buena Vista’s sweet little town with plenty of shops and eats! The river access at Cathy’s home is what really drew us in and multiple members of the family ended up doing daily cold plunges. Definitely would recommend this little slice of heaven to anybody that wants to experience the best of Colorado!

Amazing 40th Birthday Weekend

We stayed here with friends and family for my husband's 40th birthday. The spot is beautiful inside and out. It had everything we needed and is centrally located to the town which has so much to offer. We hiked, rafted, and went to some hotsprings. At night the rest of our group joined us for yard games and telling stories around the fire pit. Only 10 peole can stay overnight on the property, but the owners worked with us to allow a bigger group during the day. It was truly ideal. Oh and the bike pump track was a huge hit. If you can bring your bike you should! We really enjoyed our stay. There is still some work going on on the outside, I can only imagine how great it will be when that is completed.
