Getaway with everything you need at this peaceful place nestled in the forest. Relax poolside in the beautiful garden, bbq on the deck, decompress in the jacuzzi under the night sky, or sit cozy by the fire! Located 2 minutes from Historic Downtown Nevada City & 15 minutes to the Yuba River. Walking and biking trails are plentiful along the NID. Cascade Shores on Scott's Flat Lake is just 5 miles up the road from home! Short 1 hour drive to Truckee/Tahoe!

You have access to the entire home and expansive, private fenced in backyard. This home has high ceilings, big windows and tons of natural light pouring in. Gas fireplace for instant ambiance and a cozy cabin feel. A part-time tenant lives in the barn on the far end of the property, there is plenty of space between the house and this dwelling ensuring you will enjoy complete privacy. Guests do not have access to storage building adjacent to the driveway.

Pool is solar heated, so dependent on sun to heat (October-April = not heated).

We had a fabulous weekend with our kids and friends: the pool was fun (be prepared for cold water!) and the Jacuzzi was great to warm up again. We also took advantage of the BBQ to make some Tri Tip and New York strips we got from the Nevada City farmers market. The hosts MaryAnn & Greg were very kind and communicated well. A lovely weekend, just as we hoped.

Fantastic and beautiful property. The garden is amazing in the pool is wonderful, we enjoyed it every single day and evening!I was grateful that this host made a few accommodations that it made it possible for me to bring my mother up to the mountains with me. She rarely gets out so it was a big deal. Thank you!

Beautifully maintained yard with pool and hot tub. A few things were needing upgrades (coffee maker, hot tub cover was impossible to lift, outdoor lights around pool, garbage disposal broken), not suitable for anyone who cannot regularly climb 3 staircases to get into or out of the home.

Fun Nevada City Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this property! It was a bit pricier after taxes and fees than what we normal go for when we rent a home but it was so worth it for the pool and the hot tub. The yard space is so relaxing and private. The location is perfect, super close to town but just far enough down the road to feel really quiet. The home was very clean, awesome shower in the master and the beds are so comfortable! Cute vintage details but very modern amenities and high quality furniture.The loft room is pretty small with steep stairs and slanted roof, great for our teen but may be a bit cramped for adults. Kitchen is decently stocked, as long as you aren't cooking something that needs specialty tools/appliances you will be fine. The host was very communicative and helped us through minor snafus (figuring out the hot tub, short neighborhood power outage). Our group of 2 teens and 2 adults especially loved Empire Mine State Park in Grass Valley, renting kayaks and fishing at Scotts Flat Lake, checking out the covered bridge at South Yuba City SP, shopping at Rainbow Rocket Marketplace, and eating at the Pizza Joint. We only stayed 3 nights and wished it was longer, definitely a great mini vacation!

The house was exactly as shown - really great rooms, kitchen, pool and hot tub. The backyard is beautifully landscaped. I highly recommend the house. Our family had an excellent time. (A piece of advice, if you're sensitive to waking from light in the morning, I recommend bringing an eye mask to sleep in, as the primary bedroom was very bright when the sun rose before 6am, and there are two skylight windows without blinds).
