Waterfront Cottages with Sunsets, Kayaks Included!

Incredible Gulf access with wide open west-facing views for some of the best sunsets you'll ever see! This special home with private end of street location is a great place to spend the winter or come for a couple days to enjoy the best of island living. Beautiful picture windows offer a panoramic view of the water. Wide open floor plan with updated and fully stocked kitchen, comfy living room and spacious dining room. Fast internet and a Roku TV provides hours of entertainment from your streaming account. Mini splits offer perfect temperature control for hot summer nights or cooler winter evenings. Pristine bedrooms are highlighted by quality linens and comfortable mattresses for a restful sleep every night! Don't miss the kayaks/paddles/life jackets offered free of charge for your entertainment as well as fire pit, outdoor seating and dining and propane grill. So much to see and do (or the perfect spot to do a little bit of nothing). The guest cottage located on property are where the third bedroom and second bath are located. It is a separate entry from the exterior and not attached to the main house. Perfect spot for teens or for privacy of couples traveling together. Also in the smaller cottage is the new washer and dryer, to be used for both spaces. A second coffee maker is also there for ease of use in the morning. Boat trailer parking and a covered spot for your vehicle. Dogs welcome: $50 flat fee per pet, 2 pet maximum. Come relax at Sunset Helen's, enjoy the breeze off the water and see what it means to live island style! Please note that tides fluctuate widely in our area and you will not be able to launch kayaks at low tide.

Beautiful Vacation Home

We loved this beautiful home. Gorgeous windows, bringing the most amazing sunsets daily. The Christmas tree was a nice touch. I suggest this gorgeous escape to anyone visiting Cedar Key.

This home is a wonderful place to stay while in Cedar Key! Nice furnishings! It is comfortable, clean, and well stocked. The view is stunning any time of day. The property managers are very nice, communicative and so helpful. Cedar Key is a small town with a lot of character and warmth. The locals are friendly and are happy to see you. I admire the spirit and resolve of this community. They are rebuilding after the hurricanes. They love their town and it shows. It's a special place and definitely worth visiting.

Beautiful views and nice clean property:) If planning on taking out the kayaks provided make sure to make note of the tide schedule. We didnt amd ended up coming back during low tide. It was a muddy mess and would not recommend that experience lol. The kayaks are super nice though. The ride around the islands was peaceful and beautiful. We saw the pink spoonbill birds and opsreys

Great Father’s Day Weekend

We had a great Father’s Day weekend! We fished off the dock and caught catfish and trout. The house is comfy and updated. The area is nice and quiet. Each room has its own tv with a Roku and remote to work the lights and fans and most importantly they all worked! (That never happens in a rental!) Loved having the extra room and bathroom in the cottage. Everything was nice, clean, and accessible. Looking forward to the next visit.

Put my sisters and husbands in this location for the weekend. Managers were super helpful and accommodating. Location was spot on and got a great sunset.

Sunset Helen’s Sunsets Delivered

Despite the area being hit hard from Hurricane Helene in September 2024, Cedar Key is rebuilding and there are lots of things to explore in the area. Sunset Helen’s setting provides low tide water bird watching opportunities through the large floor to ceiling windows. The restaurants we tried in town were excellent. This home was very clean and neat and very well stocked! We were quite impressed. The only challenge we had was not having the separate code for the laundry room in the cottage and had to wait for a response before being able to access the washer/dryer. Perhaps add that code to the book in the main house?

Amazing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Helen's. The property was just as listed. It was very clean! We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the amazing Sunset views. Communication was excellent throughout our stay. We will definitely consider this property again if we are back in Cedar Key.

Beautiful Inside and Out!

Immaculate, comfortable, awesome view, well stocked and great amenities. Loved having a fenced yard for the pups and room for outdoor games. Looking forward to staying there again.

Quiet vacation

I would book again. There are 2 homes on this property very close together. We were lucky, other house not rented for most of our stay. I would probably book both homes next time and bring family. We kayaked everyday and enjoyed sitting outside. If you like fishing bring your poles and fish off the dock.
