The Space:

The Hemlock Cabin is a cozy one-bedroom, one-bath cabin with views of Cashiers Lake, a kitchen, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and free on-site parking.



Originally used as a U.S. Forest Service cabin in Waynesville, The Hemlock Cabin was relocated to Cashiers Lake and renovated in 2021. Its updated interior is paired with antique furnishings and vintage details that give the space warmth and character.



Pets are welcome at The Hemlock Cabin. Bring your dog, explore Cashiers and the surrounding mountains, then return to a simple and comfortable place to settle in for the evening. Because the property and outdoor amenities are shared, dogs must remain leashed whenever they are outside the cabin.



Guest Access:

You’ll have The Hemlock Cabin to yourself, along with free on-site parking. Shared outdoor amenities include a lakeside gazebo with bench seating, a communal fire pit, charcoal grill, and outdoor sink and fish-cleaning station.



The gazebo is a pleasant place to enjoy morning coffee, relax with a book, or take in the view across Cashiers Lake.



The Neighborhood:

The Hemlock Cabin is part of Cashiers Lake Cabins, a small lake-view cabin community near the heart of Cashiers. Shops, restaurants, coffee, and other local favorites are within easy walking distance. Waterfalls, hiking trails, scenic drives, Highlands, and other mountain destinations are best reached by car.



Getting Around:

Free parking is available on-site. You can walk to several parts of central Cashiers, but a car is recommended for exploring the surrounding mountains and nearby destinations.



Other Things to Note:

The Hemlock Cabin offers views of Cashiers Lake and is one of several cabins on a compact shared property. You’ll have your own private cabin, but neighboring cabins and shared outdoor spaces are nearby. The gated entrance does not create a fully enclosed yard or off-leash area.



The Hemlock Cabin is best suited to guests who value lake views, walkability, historic character, and a pet-friendly stay rather than a secluded or highly private mountain setting.



Dogs must remain supervised and leashed at all times while outdoors. Please do not allow pets to roam the property unattended, and be sure to follow the complete pet policy and house rules during your stay.
