This review doesn’t accurately reflect our actions. All concerns raised by the guest were addressed as promptly as possible. Regarding the TV, our maintenance team inspected the unit and found that the only issue occurred when the volume was set very high, which caused sound distortion. We never said the guest broke it. The reported mold concern was treated using proper mold-removal products, it was not painted over. A prior flood in the upstairs apartment caused some temporary moisture spots. The mark in the bedroom was not mold, it’s simply and unpainted area behind the crown molding. The bathroom leak was repaired, and towels were placed to absorb residual moisture from the wood. Our cleaning staff also placed a DampRib moisture absorber inside the cabinet to prevent mold and odors. We avoided performing more extensive repairs during the guest stay to prevent disruptions. The maintenance fee included with the reservation covers only one cleaning at the end of the stay. All other additional cleaning provided in this stay were courtesy ones. In the first courtesy cleaning, our staff reported an accumulation of garbage and flying insects in the unit, washer and dryer were full with personal laundry, requiring them to do the laundry out of the unit. We recommended that the guest steps out during the cleaning to avoid exposure to dust or odors. Our cleaning team, cleans and sanitized the unit, changed linens, bathroom, kitchen and laundry area. The laundry space became dusty because the dryer vent box was not refilled with water by the guest, our staff cleaned this as well. When the guest requested a larger pan and colander, we initially believed the existing items were sufficient, we later realized a previous guest had damaged the 5 qt pot. At the next cleaning service, we provided an 8 qt pot and colander. We have been hosting for three years with very good standing. We kindly ask guests to understand the expectations and limitations of short term rentals.
