Great location! Close to all the areas we wanted to visit. Outdoor area was nice, would be even better in warmer months. My daughter loved playing with the basketball (a small goal would be a nice addition!) We had hoped to use the hot tub as the temps were mid-60's on our first day, but with it being March the hot tub area had not yet been readied for the season. We loved the upper balcony. Garage parking was a huge plus! Location felt safe. Good communication from the hosts. Floors were kind of dirty, but overall the unit was clean. We would stay at this location again!

Location is great - walkable to some lovely coffee shops & fun local places to eat. It was a very easy drive to downtown (15 minutes or so!) We are now fans of this area. The home has a lot of curb appeal, charming backyard with a hot tub (perfect for relaxing!) The hosts were friendly, hospitable & very responsive if we had a question.

Points forts : Propreté, arrivée et emplacement.

The property was very spacious and did accommodate our whole group. The location is pretty close to the tram station and easy to get downtown. The website description was very different than what the house really is. There is no Zen garden there is no sauna and the hot tub looked like it hasn't been used in a very long time, and was inoperable. There was no umbrella or shade in the backyard. The grill I don't think has ever been cleaned nor do I think it'd be safe to cook on it. It was very nice that the property allowed pets as we did travel with our 2 small dogs. However, there is no grass at the property. It's fake. There is a park a couple blocks away we took the dogs too daily to let them run around on real grass. The front screen door it's very hard to open and close. And you almost have to body slam into it to get it to shut. The key fob to operate the garage door doesn't work. And the only way to open and close it is for someone to stand in the alley and manually open and close it to get the car into the garage. The beds were very squeaky and uncomfortable. They threw a piece of foam on top of the mattress, which just made it worse. Overall, the house did suit us and took care of our needs. However, it was disappointing to see how different the description from the website was from how the house was actually

Great location!

5 coworkers and I cane to the area for business at the McCormick Place. Though, we knew it was too far of a walk, we preferred this location over other offerings closer to our meetings. The listing is very accurate. The property is clean with everything needed to cook and hangout. The host is very responsive and timely. It was a positive to have the private garage for parking as well. All in all a great option if coming to downtown Chicago. Only a few miles(20 min) to be in the loop. Thank You to the host for offering this location!

À propos de l’hôte

Hôte : Nigam Shah

Hi, my name is Nigam, I'm a Chicago native and my wife and I've been hosting for a little over 2 years. We love to curate unique experiences for travelers and making sure guests feel like they are truly at home, and getting to connect with a real Chicago neighborhood (not just Downtown where everything is a tourist trap).

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Bridgeport is not just absolutely amazing, but has an incredible history. Bridgeport is where the first Italians in Chicago called home. Some of the old exclusive "members only" clubs are still around. Over the years, it's become home for many Irish, Chinese, and Mexican immigrants.

Fun Fact: Bridgeport has been the home or birthplace of 5 mayors of Chicago, representing all but 10 years between 1933 and 2011, illustrating the neighborhood's influence on Chicago politics.

A buzzing neighborhood with a diverse arts and food scene, Bridgeport is also home to the Chicago White Sox stadium just over 1 mile away. Whether you'd like to go on a nice hike in Palmisano Nature Park, try amazing Boba at Boba Plug's Teahouse, walk over to a coffee shop (try Bridgeport Coffeehouse or Jackalope Coffee), grab great Mexican food (Pancho's Pistolas) or Korean BBQ (Do Eat) or ice cream (Scoops Ice Cream), or just go down the street to a popular local tavern (Maria's) -- you'll never run out of things to do. Bridgeport is also home to a long list of famous Italian food - Phil's Pizza, Ricobene's, Punky's, Franco's Ristorante to name a few.

Bridgeport ranks as one of the city's most diverse neighborhoods, just 4 miles (15 min drive) from Downtown, Chicago.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This is the ONE property that will truly make you feel like you are in Chicago, because it's in a real Chicago neighborhood that represents its people. It's also just an amazing home -- with great amenities and experiences. Where else in Chicago are you going to get a movie theatre, hot tub, & sauna down the street from amazing coffee, a restaurant and a bar?
