Peaceful Retreat in the heart of historic Mesilla, New Mexico. Two blocks from restaurants, shops and entertainment.
The space
My quaint over-sized Casita is beautifully furnished in New Mexico style and fully equipped in a peaceful, historic village setting. Wake up to church bells chiming from the beautiful Basilica San Albino Catholic Church and wander over to CafĂ© de Mesilla or Andele's for a delicious breakfast under the beautiful crystal clear New Mexico sky. After breakfast stroll over to the Historic Mesilla Plaza and District with renowned restaurants, local eateries, music, bars, art galleries, boutiques and spas. While you are there - be sure to check out what’s playing at the historic Fountain Theater. My New Mexico style Casita includes a comfy queen bed, a full bath and large kitchen, dining and living area. Fully equipped with washer and dryer and plenty of parking outside for at least two cars.

Located within walking distance to all of the historic sights Mesilla has to offer as well as other unique attractions within driving distance.

Modern comfort in historical setting

The property is cozy, clean, and comfortable. Within walking distance of great food and the historic plaza. We had a great time and would like to return when we have more time to enjoy.

Cozy Casita del Sol

This was our second time staying at Cecilia’s casita, and we will absolutely stay again. The little abode is nicely appointed, beautifully decorated, well-maintained, and very clean. Perfect for two people. The location is fantastic and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops (we got coffee at The Bean each morning.)

Comforting Casita

My husband and I stayed here to be near my mother in her final days. The casita was warm and inviting, and gave us respite after long days. It’s nicely appointed (beautiful artwork!) and within walking distance of Mesilla Plaza. Cecilia is a gracious and thoughtful host, and super responsive. Thanks so much, Cecilia!

Everything we needed. The location is perfect for accessing the Square. Everything is walkable. Everything was clean and amenities were just right. It was our second stay, so you know we liked it.

The property was clean, bright, cheerful, and relatively quiet. It had quirky furniture pairings, a modern bathroom and kitchen, and a comfortable bed. The owner even put fresh flowers on the dining table and in the kitchen. In all, it is a nice place to stay. The complaints I have are that the property sits directly on a main town thoroughfare which is dangerous to cross on foot if you are not agile or even slightly disabled. This makes it a bit daunting to walk the otherwise convenient two blocks to the plaza. Additionally, the backyard was dirty and uninviting to sit out in during any part of the day. And, curiously, the kitchen had everything but pots and pans to cook with. Perhaps they had been removed for some reason and the owner forgot to return them, but we could not cook the food we brought with us. In sum, aside from the inconveniences listed above, I would recommend it as a place to stay as long as you are prepared for these issues.

This Mesilla neighborhood is unique because of the perfect location. It’s a block and a half away from the beautiful Old Mesilla plaza. You will walk to restaurants, shops and the old Mesilla theatre.
