This is an exceptional property! Upon arrival my teenage son asked if we could come here for the upcoming holidays. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The home is warm and inviting and has the perfect layout for both together time and solitude. The view from the back deck invites reflection and meditation. The crickets serenade nightly. We had the added bonus of meeting the owners and their family at checkout. They are as warm and friendly in person as they are online. We've stayed in a lot of VRBO homes and this one has taken the number one spot in favorites. We hope our travels include a return to this amazing property.

We loved the property! House was beautiful and cozy. Everything we needed was available. The owners were easy to access and immediately answered any questions we had. Our 5 year old grandson quickly told us we did a great job picking it out, is ready to go back and gave the house a billion million quzillion rating! Everything was great and we highly recommend it!

We had such an amazing stay at the cottage! The hosts were extremely accommodating and responsive, which made everything so easy. The home is even cuter and quainter than the photos show, and the property felt very private—perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. Plus, the charming little town just 10 minutes up the road was such a bonus!

We very much enjoyed this property. Well stocked, extremely comfortable and a hit with our 2 dogs. They loved the fenced in yard. Hope to enjoy it again as our son’s family lives in the area.

Our cottage is located on property that has seen 5 generations of family ownership. The property was first acquired for subsistence farming in the late 19th century. It rests at the base of the Uwharrie Mountains, home of the first gold rush in the United States. A vein of white flint rock crosses the property where one may see a quartz crystal or fool's gold on a daily walk.
