Lovely, Eco-Conscious Retreat on Lake Michigan w/ Private Beach & Hot Tub

A beautifully renovated, eco-conscious* home just minutes from Saugatuck/Douglas, South Haven & Holland. This home sits on a tranquil lot with mature trees, privacy from neighbors, 3 decks (2 shaded), and gorgeous Lake Michigan views with 140 feet of shoreline. The walkable beach is accessible from new Trex stairs and a large 40 foot deck overlooking the beach/Lake Michigan; both are lit at night. Take a mile-long walk around the quiet neighborhood over a wooden bridge and creek. Play croquet and other games in the large yard. The home has an open-concept main living space and kitchen with a four seasons room (with heated floors), all with lake views. Two tables can easily sit 16+ people. Three of the four bedrooms have king beds with closets; two share a hallway bathroom and the other has an ensuite bathroom and office space. The fourth bedroom sits in the back of the house and serves as a kids' bunk room/play space/TV room. It sleeps 10 with an ensuite bathroom with double sinks and hooks for all. It also has a 12-drawer built-in dresser for everyone's things. Enjoy a family or kid movie night lounging on the built-in "couches" - cal. king & queen trundle. In addition, the home has an outdoor shower, half bathroom in the main living space as well as gas fireplace, and laundry room. A new hot tub was installed August 2023. (Please note: The hot tub is drained November - February.)

*We designed and stocked Ambleside Retreat to be an eco-conscious get-away. All mattresses, including crib mattress, are organic (except Queen Trundle due to size constraints). The vast majority of bedding and towels are 100% cotton and OEKO-TEX. Our cleaning service uses - as well as stocked cleaning supplies are - clean, non-toxic brands. (Harsher chemicals will be used only when necessary.) Shampoo, conditioner, soaps, toilet paper and paper towels are all clean and sustainable. LED lights, new and efficient windows, toilets with a green flush option, and antique or FSC-certified furniture throughout.

**Please Note: Michigan shorelines change daily. After three years of ownership, we have always had beach; but, we cannot say with 100% certainty you will have beach when you rent.
