We can be available if something goes wrong, but we generally leave you to your trip! Emily will be your main point of contact, and lives close by if you need anything.

You’ll have the entire home and property to yourself, including off-street parking for up to 2 cars (more if you're good at tetris)

We’re delighted to share the peaceful North Durham retreat with you! We hope this cozy space will feel like your home away from home after a day of exploring the Bull City.
Both main bedrooms boast cozy queen beds and a serene environment to sleep deeply. The closets & bureaus leave you plenty of room to unpack.
The flex room/second living room/third bedroom includes a daybed that converts to both a full and twin bed. The room includes a workspace separated from the other gathering areas, so you can work in peace.
The full bathroom includes the original wall tiles, and a tub.
Generous dining & living room provide space to relax together (or separate!), and the kitchen hold all you need to cook any meal, or store take out from our many excellent restaurants.
When the weather’s great - as it is three-quarters of the year - park yourself on the fully screened side porch with your favorite beverage, and relax surrounded by the pines NC is famous for.
Smart HDTV lets you log into your favorite streaming services.
Looking to disconnect? We’ve left some of our favorite games and books for your entertainment.
Clever laundry closet houses a stackable washer & dryer for your use.

North Durham is the best of both worlds - far enough to be peaceful, but close to all the conveniences! You’ll be an easy bike/drive/Uber/Lyft distance to:

Feeling the need to get outside and move? You’re 0.9 miles from the Ellerbee Creek Trail, which can take you right into town! Whippoorwill Park is less than a mile away, and West Point on the Eno - the jewel of Durham’s Park system - is 2 miles up the road. As you plan your travel to, from and around the Triangle, some helpful distances:
RDU Airport is 20 miles (about 20-25 minutes) away
Durham Amtrak, Bus Station and MegaBus pick up are downtown, 4 miles away
I-85, with access to I-40, Hwy 70 & NC 147/885, is just 2.5 miles away
It’s easy to get to Raleigh (25mi), Chapel Hill (14mi), or RTP (13mi) with a car, cab or Lyft/Uber.

There is parking for 2 cars available in the driveway, and some free street parking (please be courteous of the ditches - no curbs!)

As stated in the house rules, there is an automatic minimum $250 service fee for any violations of house rules that require additional cleaning and/or cause damage. This is our home. We have tried to make it comfortable for you and for us, and have been thoughtful in the amenities we provide. We appreciate you for exercising the same level of thought and care when staying here.
While we are happy to host families, please note that the house is not “child-proofed,” nor do we provide any child-focused amenities (no crib, pack-n-play, high chair, etc).
We do ask that guests are relatively quiet after 10 PM, as a courtesy to neighbors. Parties and loud groups are not permitted. Thanks for helping us be good neighbors.
Smoking or vaping of any substances is not permitted on the premises.
Well-behaved pets are welcome, and must be registered with the reservation. There is a pet fee.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, guests are expected to abide by CDC/WHO guidelines, as well as all North Carolina and Durham Covid-19 guidelines. Full up-to-date orders can be seen at ncdotgov.
