Our blissful bungalow, perfectly located on the sprawling 242 acre Bar Lake, has an open and bright floor plan and offers two bedrooms, a naturally lit living room, a fully stocked kitchen, and a wonderful waterfront view. Eat, shower, play, and rest from the comfort of this quaint residence before exploring Manistee’s national parks, campgrounds, rivers, beaches, historic attractions, and downtown district.
35 mins from Crystal Mtn, 45 mins from Caberfae, 1 hr from Sleeping Bear Dunes.

The view of Bar Lake was beautiful. Very fun to stay here in the winter time and focus on crafts and puzzles and making good food. A bonus for stargazers is there's very little light pollution in the night sky.

Relaxing Vacation

The place had everything we needed for our stay. Great place to unwind. Very quiet area. You are close to the beach and downtown. Bar Lake is a great inland lake for fishing. Owner was always available with any questions or needs. Will plan to stay there again in the future.

Relaxing, great birding, beautiful beach nearby on Lake MI

We had a lovely stay at Reeds on Bar Lake. The area around Manistee has lots to offer. The town is charming and there are great places to visit within a couple of hours. There's an incredible beach, almost empty, about 15 minutes away. Great swimming and dog friendly. We heard Sandhill cranes and coyotes singing at night.

Fantastic views

Cute little house on the water. The outside of the property is a true gem! Had a blast hanging out on the deck and dock while my dog explored everything on the property. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to stay. No rowdy neighbors, just calm and quiet. The host gave some wonderful recommendations for the area and had great communication!

Peaceful

A very peaceful place in a quiet neighborhood. Every thing about our stay was perfect. Nice shower, comfy beds. Great price! Will definitely stay again sometime.. brought my đŸ¶ and there was no extra fee which was what attracted me to this place in particular. Great communication with the host! No complaints!

Peace and quiet on an idyllic lake

We really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and idyllic setting. The lake on your back yard is very pretty. The house is small yet comfortable. The only room that was quite cramped was the bathroom. The bedrooms and kitchen were well stocked. The bed in the main bedroom was definitely comfortable. The patio had ample seating options and supplies for various outdoor activities. We’d stay there again.

Girls Trip

This listing lays out precisely what to expect and shows accurate rental pictures. The kitchen is stocked well enough to cook full meals for those who want to avoid eating out for every meal. The beds are comfortable and easily sleep the 5 people it advertised they could sleep. The hosts are very responsive to any questions and check in with you after your check-in to make sure everything is going smoothly. There is also a beach access area so close that it is easy to spend time on Lake Michigan. I would definitely stay at this cottage again!
