Relaxing Cabin Retreat

Our family of four had a great weekend stay. This marked our sixth consecutive year booking this cabin as a special gathering place to relax and catchup with our college-aged sons attending Virginia Tech. We love the location on the water and rustic feel of the cabin's interior. It's clean and well maintained. The owner routinely sends us a welcome message after we arrive to ask if we have what we need and ensure everything meets expectation. We will definitely return for another visit.

Great cabin, fantastic location, and a dock with paddle boards and kayaks provided on Claytor Lake! Cabin and amenities are exactly as described in listing. We had a great stay! Peaceful and clean with comfortable furniture and a great gas fireplace for the chilly spring this year. Our trip was incredibly last minute and Dwayne (the host), could not have been any more accommodating! He was also easy to reach, quick to respond to any questions and very attentive. The back porch has a nice view of an "arm" off Claytor Lake with no neighbors behind to clutter the nature view. Inside, there is a treasure trove of games as well as linens and kitchenware/appliances on site. It was a cozy place to return to after traipsing around the region all day. I would not hesitate to rebook in the future.

Fantastic lakefront cabin in the heart of the New River Valley. Very well decorated and furnished, with a wonderful view of Claytor Lake from the screened in back porch. Host was very helpful and communicated well. Will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to the area.

Our family of five loved our stay at the cabin! Exactly as described online. Cabin had all things needed for fun on the lake, even had a s’mores bar that the kids loved! We came for a Tech football game weekend. Easy drive into Blacksburg from the lake. Would highly recommend staying at this property. Host was excellent!

This is an absolutely beautiful spot—the home was welcoming, beautiful and comfortable. The area very peaceful and enjoyable. Everything one could wish for both inside and outside was provided. The boat dock very nicely accommodated our boat. Very happy we had the opportunity to enjoy a week at this place.

Awesome Cabin

Great place to stay! Very nice accommodation and it had everything we needed. There was a minor issue with the lock when we arrived and Dwayne made everything more than right very quickly despite the late hour we arrived at. Would stay again!

Great cabin for a small family!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin while visiting for a Virginia Tech football game. It was a perfect, quiet spot for our family of 4!

Great little cabin

Had a great stay. It is a nice little cabin in a semi-secluded area. The cabin was very clean and well-equipped. We will definately look this one up next time we are in the area.

Perfect Stay

This cabin in the lake is a gem. It’s everything you need and super well equipped and organized. The owner was very responsive. It’s a beauty on the lake with a private dock, a beautiful back porch overlooking the lake, a picnic/grill area with table and chairs also overlooking the lake. It was 25 minutes from Tech, so very convenient.
