Beautiful modern rustic barn located near state parks and Chain o Lakes.

This property is a one of a kind modernized rustic barn.

A large living room with wood burning fireplace & great natural lighting, dining table seats 10, plus 6 counter seats. Butler kitchen includes its own dishwasher & large side by side refrigerator/freezer. A beverage/bar station offers a wine & beer fridge stocked with glassware. The main cooking area overlooks the family room and has a large refrigerator, double ovens, gas stove with griddle, coffee maker, microwave, & toaster oven. Large screen TV's w/ vcr and dvd players. Lower Level has a family room with a gas fireplace and large sitting area. A children's art corner will keep the little ones busy.

This rental sleeps 12 people with 2 rooms on second floor and a lower level with 3 rooms.

An additional apartment may be added to sleep 6 more. (please inquire for pricing)

Near Hartman's creek state park, standing rock county park, the chain of lakes, Foxfire Golf, Snowmobile Trails, etc.

Pets are welcomed for a small fee.

The place is great. Location was convenient. Close enough to town if need be. However, for the price, I was hoping there would be more supplies etc... (paper plates, batteries, dishwasher pods, hair dryer, lightbulbs, etc....) Also, I think the cleaning fee is steep especially if we are expected to strip beds etc.... With that being said, I would stay here again as the place is pretty cool for a bigger group.

The place is beautiful. We did have an issue with bed bugs and the property managers were prompt about getting infected items out. The owner was helpful in letting us use an additional apartment on the property since we could not use the basement bedrooms. It could have been cleaner and we would love to have soap/other household supplies offered. Bedding was oversprayed with some kind of carpet cleaner or air freshener so we had to wash the linens to be able to sleep. Great fireplace and kitchen lots of firewood offered which was great! Plenty of space to entertain.

Very nice and unique. Being a farm family, we could appreciate the atmosphere. Kitchen area was great and plenty of gathering spaces. Only concern was that it wasn’t very accessible for our elderly parent in bathrooms and bedrooms were on top and bottom level, none on the main floor. Overall, a wonderful experience.

We had a lovely stay at the beautiful barn! The kitchens are amazing to host big groups. The beds were comfortable! We are already talking about renting again next year!

The property was beautiful. Up until we arrived, the host was very communicative, kind and helpful. However, the first night we were there we found a bed bug. We were unable to get in touch with the host during our stay — she was away in another state without service, and we weren't able to connect with her until we were checking out. We contacted the caretaker for advice during our stay and he was also unable to get a hold of the host. He did apologize for the situation over the phone. We did as thorough a search of the property as we could, and cleaned as much as possible. No one came to check the property while we were there, despite sending photos of the bed bug to the host/caretaker and expressing our concern/uncertainty about what to do. We were unable to use 6 of the beds as a result of where we found the bug. We had nowhere else to go with such a large group. The host offered 200 as a refund for this situation. The house was otherwise lovely and the host had been responsive up until the weekend we stayed. Our frustration was largely with the lack of communication/action during our stay and the stress/uncertainty everyone left the weekend with in regard to the status of bed bugs in the home.

A few major things did not work. The A/C. Temp was 75 and a/c was set to 70 and it would not come on. Very uncomfortable sleeping in the loft. One of the stoves griddle knob was broken off and wouldn’t work. Cooking for 8 men made it difficult. Also we never were able to get the tv to work in the basement and it took over an over to figure out the main floor tv. There were no instructions on the how to do it. Overall I don’t think we’ll go back. Al Benning

Everything was perfect

The property is beautiful. The renovated barn is full of warmth and character. Loved the fixtures and decor. We had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time there. Thank you to the owners, we would love to come back!

Women’s Weekend

A group of 8 of us stayed here and really enjoyed it. The kitchen is fantastic, comfy beds, cute decorating, and space for everyone. I hope we can return someday!

Thanksgiving with family

We spent the long Thanksgiving weekend at this stunning barn. ‘We” means 12 family members of various ages. This beautiful barn offered us space to be together when we wanted to play games , dine or just relax and plenty of space to escape to when we wanted a little solitude . Kitchen if fully stocked with utensils, glasses, cooking pans etc. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nicely decorated and offered peaceful and private sleeping. Cannot say enough great comments about this barn.

College reunion

This is the second time we've stayed at the "Moose House" with our group of 9, 65+ year olds. The spacious, open kitchen, dining and living space is perfect for us. The Waupaca area provides a variety of activities for us as well.
