Ceinture de verdure du ruisseau Barton:
L'une des principales destinations de VTT, de randonnée, de course à pied et d'escalade d'Austin. Cette ceinture de verdure de 8 milles de long et 809 acres commence à moins d'un quart de mille de notre porte d'entrée. Beau et amusant en toute saison. Par temps humide, le ruisseau est une destination de kayak, de tubing et de baignade avec de nombreuses petites cascades et rapides amusants.

Randonnée et piste cyclable d'Austin:
AccÚs facile au centre-ville. Pas de voitures sur ce sentier au bord de l'eau, à 1/2 pùté de maisons de notre porte d'entrée. Populaire auprÚs des motards, des marcheurs et des joggeurs. Les arbres et les fleurs sauvages fournissent de l'ombre et de la beauté le long de ce sentier de 10,5 milles qui fait le tour du lac. Plusieurs ponts piétonniers traversent le centre-ville avec des points d'accÚs aux salles de concerts, restaurants, boutiques, musées, salles de concert, l'opéra et au-delà. Ne manquez pas le Congress Avenue Bridge, qui abrite la plus grande colonie urbaine de chauves-souris du monde!

Austin est la capitale mondiale de la musique live! La sixiĂšme rue, la rue Rainey et le quartier des entrepĂŽts se trouvent Ă  10 minutes en voiture de Zilker Park Place.

We were so pleased with our stay. The unit is nice and clean and has the greatest “Austin-vibe” deco. The live-in house pet Gustavo is the most welcoming host. We loved it and will be staying here again!

Great location!

We were in town for a wedding in Zilker Park and the location could not be beat. It was a quick uber ride to most of our destinations. The property was clean and well kept. Would stay here again!

Classic Austin

I was born and raised in Austin but haven’t been back in a very long time. This condo was true to the old school Austin I know and love! The location is perfect for walking to get food or drinks or to stroll around the park. I will definitely stay here again next time we’re in town!

Short trip to Austin

We had a very pleasant stay. The apartment was well equipped, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was very convenient to many of the amenities in South Austin. It was only a six-minute walk to Barton Springs Pool!

Location is PERFECT

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and loved the location, cleanliness, and relaxed feel of the home. We were only a couple miles away from downtown/6th street. And within walking distance of Barton Springs pool and a lot of hip restaurants. We would definitely recommend this place to other travelers. The only down side is that we drive an electric vehicle and there wasn’t a whole lot of options for charging at the house or near by.

Home away from home!

We absolutely loved staying at Lois’ place! The location was perfect to get to all the fun Austin spots. We are a family of four, with a 12 year old and a 9 year old-we are able to share beds still so the two beds were just right! The kitchen was well stocked, there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms, and the space was very comfortable. Big time bonus for it just being really rad with lots of art and of course a fish toilet! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Fun, quirky apartment in Zilker

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this funky apartment near Zilker Park. The furnishings definitely have plenty of character, and the entire place was very clean. Lois was incredibly communicative and responsive to our needs. I would certainly recommend this to any couple looking for an Austin getaway.

Nice Stay

We rented a car for our Austin stay and the location of the townhouse was great for all of our activities. Kitchen met our daily breakfast and coffee needs, and the patio was great for a morning read. Would stay again.

This is me in one of my five art cars I have had since 1999. My current car is Mermania, a mermaid car. I have been a professional intuitive since 1993 and have been teaching intuition classes since 1995. Presently I hold dating workshops and relationship support groups throughout the year. Somehow over the years I have become a relationship expert and have yet to find a question that I can’t answer. I enjoy local theatre and the film festivals. I live in the neighborhood less than a mile from the rental. I am known for having one of the most colorful houses in this very eclectic neighborhood. The yard has been featured on the local yard art tour and the house had been on the Weird homes tour five times. The art car pictured above is my fourth. It is “Carsmos” which is decorated with a sea theme, the solar system, the city of Austin, and the different regions of earth on the hood. I am the female in the photo and my life partner is the male, who is also an artist. We have travelled a bit (mostly the U.S. and Europe) and the photos throughout the rental are ours. Color makes me feel alive and the color in the rental and in our photography is a reflection of that passion. My motto is “if there is still twenty minutes, there is time to see a museum”. Having studied art history and gone on four art history tours of Europe, I have been fortunate to have seen some of the very best European Masters and some of the greatest museums in the world. I couldn’t be happier.

THE SPACE (A BUILDING BEHIND MY HOUSE)
*Home is a favorite on the Weird homes Austin annual tour.
*Approximately 300 sf
*Two full size futons on the floor, one in the loft, and big fluffy bean bags. Small bathroom with a very tiny shower (won’t be able to bend over in it). Shave you legs before you arrive :)
*Peaceful Haven is a quiet spiritual space. Please respect the spiritual nature of the space and the neighbors.
* Seeking clean quiet guests. This is not a party space but rather a very cool crash pad.
* Holds six but not very comfortable after four.
* Up to two cars can park on the street in front of house.
*There is no kitchen.

The location, the unique furnishings, the art and all the color make my space special. Also for an apartment/condo, it is very large (950 sq ft). The kitchen is well stocked because I cook. I stocked it with everything I have to have on a daily basis. If there is something you need not there, please tell me.
