Friday & Saturday nights must be booked together for a weekend stay here. It will allow you to book it but we will not be able to accommodate as we just don't allow check ins or outs on Saturdays. Does not collect county taxes so guests will receive a funds request from us for that amount.
Guests of Kishauwau's Starved Rock Area Cabins enjoy the peaceful atmosphere we offer. Roomy, well spaced cabins provide the privacy our guests are looking for. Here at Kishauwau it is a dogs haven so we do have some cabins to accommodate that. This cabin style offers a studio atmosphere with only the bathroom walled off separately. It has 1 queen sized bed and a separate fold out futon so may have either a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults/2 smaller kids. The bathroom has a standard bathtub/shower combination so you step into the tub to get a shower. Each cabin offers a full kitchen, central heating & air, covered porch with porch swing and personal outdoor bonfire pit with picnic table & grill. You must be okay with our dog policies as we are firm with those. Kishauwau Cabins reserves the right to ask for your dog to be boarded locally if they cause any issues. You are responsible for damages if any are caused by your dog during your stay. Any dog adds an additional $15 plus tax per night to the reservation cost.
The space
Individual cabins on a family run property. My husband and I live right on site. Our office building is left open to guests 24/7 so you can borrow movies, games, puzzles & reading material. You also purchase firewood, pizzas, ice cream, drinks, s'mores items as well as other things on the honor system. Just a 10 minute drive from Starved Rock & Matthiessen State Parks and a 20 minute drive to next bigger towns with fabulous restaurants & shopping.
Guest access
Guests will enjoy their home away from home here. These are individual units that have their own kitchens with personal outdoor bonfire pits, picnic tables & grills. You do not share your space with anyone.
Other things to note
We will allow self check ins for anyone checking in after 5pm but it will require an additional e-mail with instructions from us on that process. Please contact us if requiring that via e-mail or phone.

Any music playing must be kept at a level that will not disturb your neighbors. We do not charge additional cleaning fees. We do expect that guests leave the cabin as they found it and clean up after themselves during their stay. If it takes our cleaning crew longer than normal a separate cleaning fee will be assessed.
Any couples renting must be at least 21 years of age and if it is a friends group each person in the group must be a minimum age of 28 years old to rent with us. We do not allow spring break groups or bachelor/bachelorette groups. You may not rent a cabin and bring in a bunch of visitors.
