Yes, I agree with you, the development is off the beaten track and I always ensure to recommend to guests that a hired vehicle is strongly required. Thank you Sherian for taking time out of your busy schedule to write a review. I do recall this was a very special time for you and your children. We had many conversations prior to your arrival especially with regards to the many restrictions and quarantine rules we have right now. I am so pleased Take Five was comfortable and you were happy with the location. Even more so with regards to your earlier than planned arrival, which was due to the early release from quarantine. This was a little challenging for Jan & I, however I was so happy we were able to accommodate you and your children 2 days earlier! I would like to thank you for your flexibility on your arrival day. Take Five is a self catering Villa, as described on the website, unlike Hotels who provide toiletries etc. on a daily basis. (Sorry if you were disappointed) We provide the initial essentials - as a self catering Villa, visitors normally stock up for their preferred items upon arrival. The same with the linens and towels, enough items are provided initially. At the mid stay Guest clean, fresh linens and towels are provided. This is also to assist with time management for Housekeeping. Especially during the pandemic - extra deep cleaning and hot washing is now needed in line with Covid-19 cleaning protocols, which takes up more time for Housekeeping. I try to manage Visitors expectations, even within the description of the location of Take Five - I am sure I even mentioned on one of our phone calls about the retired residents who are neighbors to the Villa and given the 'National Pause' restrictions being in place at that time, to be mindful. The development is extremely peaceful and unfortunately noise carries. I too was very disappointed that the neighbour did not go directly to Jan (Property Manager) who resides on the development rather than intrude your afternoon. If you remember our conversation Sherian, I totally understood how annoyed you were. Jan has addressed this issue with the Neighbour (which I may add I have never known the same neighbour to walk around to the Villa to address anything before). The reason why the neighbour has the telephone number is purely because she was friendly with the previous owners of the Villa. I think the strict restrictions we have all faced on our Island trying to maintain safety has had a massive impact on many people's lives. I feel a lot of frayed nerves and frustration can be a result of a lockdown situation. As you correctly say, your children were not allowed to the beach during the day, or do any trips - a lot of places were closed, so the Pool and patio for dining was ideal for them. On the flip side this also means residents having to be home more all day & night - not making excuses - just trying to look at both sides. Upon saying the above - I am pleased to read that you would still return to Take Five! I was so happy you enjoyed the Coconut Bread my husband bakes, it was just a little token gesture! Thank you for such detailed review and pleased Take Five suited your stay. I agree - Atlantic Rising suits holiday makers who want to get away from it all! As your stay was near the end of the rainy season, the gardens do require more attention to avoid overgrowth......sorry the noise of the gardening machines bothered you. The development is a mix of retired residents and holidaymakers, residents will normally do their gardening first thing in the morning before it gets too hot (midday sun!). Note taken regarding another cooking pot (mid size). Overall, happy you were comfortable and we welcome you back any time. Thank you for taking care of Take Five during your stay.
