Pocket sliding doors from the large 2 living room areas to the large lanai to the white sandy beach! Open concept with amazing ocean views everywhere in the large room, which includes the dining room area plus well equipped kitchen with subzero fridge and marble counter top. Unit is tiled throughout! Next to the kitchen and along the hallway to the bedrooms, there is the large walk-in laundry area. Central A/C and automated shades to keep the unit cool during the bright sunny days.

We arrived during the worst storm to hit Maui in 20 years and things on the island were pretty chaotic. The property manager was supportive and attentive throughout, even with a few issues that came up, due to the weather. We appreciated her kind and caring responsiveness, even while dealing with her own crises on another part of the island. She went the extra mile!We have stayed at Makena Surf many times and this was the first time we were in the B building. You can’t beat this location! It was fabulous.For our stay, there was nothing missing in this unit. We would return in a heartbeat!

Exactly as pictured very comfortable for family of 5 (kids 5-11). I researched extensively even within this complex for the best unit with kids. This is the closest to the water with a small path to the sand- 30 seconds and you’re in the water. One turtle swam by every morning nearly in the shore break around 9am. Saw prob half dozen more turtles and various fish in the reef just outside. That spot is a popular boat/kayak tour spot so get there before 8am before dozens of people chase all sea life away. Water is calm until 10/11am, crazy windy mid day and minimal dive visibility. This beach is always shore break even when calm it’s still a shore break baby wave so best for kids over 5 (aka- not a lagoon). My kids loved whomping/swimming here. This unit is A, best location in the complex and comfortably outfitted with everything you need, more beach towels than every STR I’ve ever stayed in combined. All the kitchen gadgets you need. Not really many cooking consumables (oil, salt, etc) but that’s fine, shop accordingly. Management (Maria) was always reachable and for our only real issue she had maintenance guy out immediately. This spot is great, and this complex seemed only 1/4 or less occupied (mid July) so parking was easy and beach never too crowded. Will absolutely come back.

Wonderful stay!

We have stayed at several places in Maui and this was one of our most enjoyable stays thanks to this amazing property! The unit was clean, spacious, quiet, very well-stocked with everything we needed, and perfectly situated with beautiful views of the ocean. The beach is outside the back patio just beyond a hedge and the pool right out the front patio. The property manager Maria was very helpful and communicative throughout the whole process. We're grateful to have enjoyed this beautiful oasis and hope to return soon!

Fabulous beach front unit

Well appointed kitchen. Walk out lanai down to beach was so convenient. Comfortable beds and updated bathroom. Two living areas provided comfortable seating and a large tv. Pool and hot tub located directly behind our unit. Easy access to tennis courts on property. Brand new grill and comfortable lanai furniture Property manager was readily available for our needs and very friendly. Loved this unit!

Perfect location

We were lucky to enjoy 6 amazing days here with our 3 young kids.The location of Makena Surf is second to none, and this unit is in the best building of them all. There’s literally just a bush between you and the beach. It’s not crowded like Kamaole beaches, and it’s a much deeper beach so lots of space where the tide won’t get you. Gentle Surf break with no undertow like big beach. Softest sand of the south Maui beaches.The unit itself is very well equipped and stocked. Even Q-Tips. We appreciated the small selection of plastic dishes for the kids. Good quality bedding (NOT polyester thank god), nice towels. Had beach chairs and umbrella on the lanai. Could have a dance party in the large showers (could fit all 3 kids in at once). Very clean unit, well finished and furnished, comfortable temperature, and in suite laundry.We stayed at a villa at the Fairmont for the final 3 days of our time in Maui and my wife preferred this condo (so did I!). Will cherish memories of building Lego, enjoying cinnamon buns, and spotting whales on the Lanai. We hope to be back in the future. Many thanks.
