This property was managed by itrip and their customer service was excellent. We had immediate response when a smoke detector was defective. The condo was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The view of the gulf, particularly for sunsets and dolphin sightings, was outstanding. The beach in front of the condo was wonderful. The only negatives were that the pool was small, there was no grill available, and there was no space to lock bicycles outside. We would highly recommend this rental.

Fabulous Location

Location was great and condo was clean and comfortable. Elevator was down for a couple of days and not a problem as long as the doorway to the stairs was propped open. We also didn't have hot water our last night there but it was late when we realized it so reported it in the morning as we were leaving. Overall, was a great stay and would stay again.

Amazing atmosphere

This property, condo and area were wonderful for our family of 7. Everything you need for your stay is close by. The condo was clean and the property team was quick to fix any issues. The condo is right on the beach and easy access to get to, which is a convince for little ones. What a great way to kick off our summer. We will definitely be back next summer. Thank you

Family vacation

We enjoyed our stay very much, the condo was very comfortable for our family, we found it very clean and met all our expectations. The views of the gulf and the beach were amazing from the huge ocean front balcony. The only observation we have is that the kitchen could have been a little better equipped with kitchen utensils. There were no teaspoons available and we literally had to go out and buy a potato masher.

Great place

Great place. All good except we couldn't grill outside. Bummer. Our room wasn't really clean when we arrived. Surface clean yes but the corners and baseboards were not clean at all. We didn't complain but our feet got dirt from walking around barefoot.

We agree that is a downside to that building not having a grill. Will also get it scheduled for a deep clean. Thank you for your feedback and for booking with us.

Winter Escape

I was very fortunate to get a last-minute booking for a very reasonable price! The Highpoint of the stay is location, location, location! Being right on the beach, and with walking distance to whatever else might be needed an absolute bonus! The condo is large and accommodating for Families with the bunkbeds and three beds located in three bedrooms. It is an older building, and therefore has little things that could be tweaked to make it very comfortable! On the second floor is always a challenge due to neighbors from above, below and side-by-side, perhaps not having the best vacation etiquette. I enjoyed my stay and the assistance of Xplorie and Itrip vacations! I would return and look to be on the fifth floor☺️

Thanksgiving Trip

Condo was in need of several repairs, we had 7 people & only one bathroom sink to use, unless we wanted to empty. A bucket that was placed under the sink! Inconvenient for staying 2 weeks! Garbage disposal did not work. Tv's did not work correctly! deck chairs unusable, ripped! Upside it's a great view, good space!

Spacious and Convenient

The condo is a great size for a family of 4. We really appreciated having laundry directly in the unit. Other things that made the stay easier was being located next to Caddy's when you wanted a quick snack or drink, as well as the convenience store being directly across the street when you realize you need something. It's a pretty central location to both the Clearwater side of town and St. Pete, which actually encouraged us to explore more towards St. Pete, since we normally stay closer to Clearwater. The condo was immaculately clean. The only "complaint" we had related to the number of physical keys needed to access everything on the property. I'm sure this is due to the people visiting Caddy's and trying to ensure the space is secured, which is good. But it would be helpful for those to be switched to a key pad or something easier for guests to manage.

Great condo, beautiful location!

This condo was perfect for or family. LOTS of room! Perfect location. Steps right out to the beach and within walking distance to John's Pass and lots of restaurants. The condo was clean and pretty up to date mostly. The sheets on the beds weren't the best but not terrible....just not super soft. The water pressure wasn't the greatest in the sink or fridge water dispenser but it was ok in the showers. The patio was huge and you can watch the perfect sunsets from it! The pool is small but nice. The maintenance man we encountered on day one wasn't the friendliest but that was the only time we dealt with him. The elevator is quick. The lock to our condo was finicky so we had to really make sure.it was actually locked before we left each time. The building seems pretty old so sounds, people walking, music etc is pretty loud at times. I think floor fans added to each room would help especially while trying to sleep to drown out the noises. Overall great experience and we would stay again.

202 - Arena De Madeira

I would only be repeating what has already been said about this spacious unit. We enjoyed our stay and will stay at this unit again in the future. The only improvement we would recommend would be to repair/update the sliding glass door in the living room. The door locking mechanism did not work properly and the door was difficult to operate for my youngest son and mother-in-law. It was a minor inconvenience and certainly did not detract from the rest of the unit. The storage box that contains the beach toys is located between the covered parking space and the beach. We found that this was a nice amenity and was convenient for family (our boys in particular) to access. Oh, I almost forgot. When we first arrived via crossing the Tom Stuart Causeway and turning left (south) onto Gulf Blvd., we were able to locate the building almost immediately by looking up and seeing the Arena De Madeira's distinct mint-green color. We no longer needed our GPS.

Very nice space

This is a great condo. Clearly the owner has done some work in the unit and it has a comfortable charm. The good news - view is amazing! - easy access to the beach and pool! - large enough space to accommodate a family. Was only my husband and I but we had family staying near by and our space was big enough to have them over a couple of times. Loved having a slider off the living area and the master!! Not as good news - the master bed broke while we were there - woke to a big bang in the middle of the night. Fixed within a reasonable amount of time but wish the maintenance on things like the bed and the very hard to open sliders were kept up instead of coming to a breaking point before attention was given. (Needed to be a weight lifter to open the sliders! provide some WD-40...). - Speaking of providing... although there was a dishwasher, not nearly enough soap to last the week! Seems like for the amount charged to stay in the condo for a week, you could place 7 packets of dish soap under the sink. And the idea of the washer & dryer in the unit really appealed to us - but again... ZERO soap or fabric softener. We left some for the next renter - but I don't want to run to the store on vacation for something that seems so easy to be provided by the cleaning crew or owner. The small things are noticed by guests! Making them returning guests. Also had to purchase shampoo and conditioner, soap, (cuz their very unsanitary looking wall mount unit wasn't inviting) bought garbage bags and all spices. (Don't even count on salt and pepper unless you stay directly after us - as we left those two basic items there but brought our other stuff back in the suitcase.) The furnishings were nice and comfortable, (aside from dirty throw pillows - no OLD & DIRTY - just don't provide throw pillows if you don't want to clean them properly) overall it wasn't as clean as it could have been. BUT for the view, beach access, nice sized balcony - we may come back. But if some of the other items I mentioned were considered/corrected... I wouldn't hesitate. It's a very nice space. I should also mention... I'm a bit of a clean freak/germ-a-phobe. A clean environment is important to me. If you're not that type of person, you'll be quite happy!
VrboOwner a répondu le 27 mars 2020
Thanks for your comments and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. We are assessing the doors to make it easier on the sliders. Yes, we provide a starter kit of hand soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, dish soap and garbage bags - enough for a few days. These items are also mentioned prior to your visit so guests can plan accordingly. Tossing the toss pillows!

Spring break 2022

Location was nice! Walked most places and the teens loved being so close to candy kitchen. Beach was beautiful and not crowded so that’s a plus. Pros: perfect spot overlooking the beach, second floor is ideal, quiet location, right next door to a bar/restaurant so good music while on the beach, plenty of towels Cons: parking was tight

Loacation Fabulous, a few small maintenance issues.

This was a very great location even though Caddy’s got a little noisy sometimes. Love listening to the ocean. However, I do have some suggestions to make renter’s stay more enjoyable: Better and more comfortable patio furniture for the balcony. Folding chairs and a card table just doesn’t get it. Visitors spend much of the time out there because it is so beautiful and relaxing. I like to eat all my meals out there as well as just relaxing and listening to the ocean or reading a book. Put up 4 panels of curtains so they work properly and secure the rod brackets properly. Leave better instructions on how to use the TV and cable TV. We were unable to access live TV and watch some of the weekly TV programs we like. Also, a kitchen wall, refrigerator and some of the cabinets had leftover food residue on them from previous renters and floors did not feel entirely clean when we got there. I had to clean the washer before I could use it because it had mold in it.

Great place right on the beach!!

This place was great! For years we typically stayed on Treasure Island. We thought we would give Madeira Beach a try. We were pleasantly surprised. At Treasure Island you often times have to walk two hundred yards to get to the beach. Sounds like no big deal, but if you are like me (a.k.a., the family Sherpa- carrying loads of stuff) it helps to be right on the beach. My 81 year old mother could throw a softball off the balcony and hit the water. Beach is great. Not crowded at all. Condo impressions - very spacious and clean. - Kitchen is well stocked with pretty much everything you need to cook. - Laundry in unit is huge (We should have packed way less). - There were TVs in all rooms. We could connect to our YoutubeTV, Netflix, Amazon prime on the smart TVs - Internet connection worked fine Proximity to local restaurants /bars/stores There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance and John's Pass is about a mile away (jet ski rentals, charter boats, bike rentals, shops, bars, restaurants). The bonus is Caddy's restaurant/beach bar, that is right next door. This was great to grab a mixed drink and walk to the beach (maybe 50 feet away). Grocery/shopping stores are all close by as well. We had a few small things we needed help on and the iTrip folks were very responsive (literally replied in a few minutes via text). The only two small things that were annoying 1) the key you needed to get into the pool and beach. It was a physical key you need to get in both ways. Again, carrying a bunch of things it was not helpful to have to put a key in the fence lock. 2) Elevator code- the code to get the elevator to come down was odd. While it was part of the instructions, I forgot that when I was coming in for the first time. During our stay, we saw other new arrivals having the same issue. Not a big deal on either issue (thought I would leave feedback for the building Mgt/HOA). End of the day, I would highly recommend this place. I would definitely come back to this place again.
