Perfect house for what we wanted

Communication with the host Tyler was solid. Check in and out was easy. The house is beautiful and as advertised. We all loved the hot tub and spending quality time in the backyard. The host supplies so many amenities to keep you entertained through your stay. We’ll be back!!

Great House for Family

We rented for a family Christmas gathering. The house has an open floor plan and is clean and well-equipped. There are as many bathrooms as bedrooms which worked great for our family.

The hosts made everything incredibly simple. Any communication needed was swift and quick to resolve any (very minor) issues. Parking was easy, check in/out was a breeze. Location is amazing. The place is beautiful and an easy drive to top tourist locations. Would 10/10 recommend for a group of any size

This property was advertised as family- and pet-friendly, but it was unsafe, unsanitary, and misrepresented. Railings and fencing were broken, requiring constant supervision of kids and pets. The hot tub was unusable for most of our stay despite being listed as a key amenity. The home was dirty on arrival (floors, bedding, kitchen with flies), and we had to host multiple cleaners and repair people during our trip just to make it livable. Amenities promised in the listing were broken, missing, or unsafe to use. The outdoor areas were especially disappointing (dirty diapers, band aids, and q-tips littered the areas). Instead of enjoying our vacation, we spent hours dealing with maintenance issues, documenting problems, and pushing for basic resolutions. Overall, the property was not guest-ready and far below expectations.We are STILL trying to find a resolution for the misrepresentation of the property. Both VRBO and the property management team (ZenStays) have given us the runaround since we brought up these issues on our first day at the property. Renters beware.
Litter outside the pool area proving there was insufficient or no cleaning done outside
Stained bedding. The majority of furniture and beds were stained. Didn’t give us the confidence of a clean stay.
Unusable grill. Extremely dirty and cleaning team did not have the necessary tools to clean properly.
Floors were dirty. Feet were dirty from walking around without shoes.

Missed the mark

The house itself is as advertised on VRBO. Plenty of space for our family which allowed everyone to have space when needed. Unfortunately I had to contact the host for check-in information since it was after 4 and I still hadn't received anything. After getting into the house again I had to contact the host for the code to remove the pool cover. There were no instructions in the house other than WiFi written down. I'm not sure if the cleaning team was rushed but there was hair all over the house. Dirty cookie sheets left in the oven. On the surface everything looked clean but looking further in the house revealed a dirty house. The downstairs toilet whistles when flushed. The HVAC in the carriage house also whistles which is not pleasant for anyone trying to get sleep. That particular HVAC doesn't remove the humidity from that space so you are left feeling sticky. The best place in the house is the third floor balcony. No matter what time of day there is always a breeze. The wet bar and half bath up there make it perfect! This was our first destination family vacation and although we had a few hiccups we all had a great time.
