Topanga adjacent and only a 25 min drive to PCH and the beach, this charming cottage is close to the 101 and all the best that Woodland Hills and Calabasas have to offer. And it's only 5 min away from Dirt Mulholland and access to the renowned hiking/biking trails of Topanga State Park. Recently remodeled bathrooms and an updated kitchen mean you get modern amenities along with original hardwood floors and vintage steel casement windows to take in the views of the gorgeous gardens from every room! Complete with yoga room, massage table and soaking tub, this beautiful sanctuary is a place for you to rest and restore, while being close to whatever brings you to LA. Peaceful and private1/4 acre lot with verdant gardens, raised vegetable beds and fruit trees, BBQ patio w/ outdoor living room and a deck of the primary bedroom all give you multiple options to find the perfect place to relax, no matter what the time of day. Sway in the hammock while gazing at the magnificent ancient Oaks before grilling a nice meal and then finish your evening off by taking a dip in the outdoor hot tub. Come stay a while!

The location was great for those that want to experience things in and around LA but stay in a quiet, safe neighborhood. All amenities are close and the house is fully stocked with anything you need (including nice shampoo and conditioner)!

This was the perfect place for our girls trip. We could park in the driveway easily and the location has access to restaurants and everything we needed. The house was so cute and cozy and perfect vibes for what we wanted. The house was clean and the host was very responsive for any questions we had The backyard was excluded with a fence and greenery so we felt comfortable using the hot tub. There is a door to a bathroom right by the hot tub so we could rinse off right away. The kitchen was large and had what we needed, and we definitely want to come here again for a longer stay. If the host was home, we couldn't tell! There is a small guest house in the back for the host but we were never disturbed and honestly could never tell if anyone was home. Again, the perfect place for a cozy girl's weekend.

My wife and I were in Topanga Canyon for the week, for a family wedding and our stay at this property greatly enhanced that experience. The cottage was very charming, cozy and nicely furnished & decorated. It had everything we needed, including a large kitchen, comfortable master bedroom & 2 full bathrooms. Was quiet and serene, with a beautiful backyard. Several tasty restaurants were nearby. It was the perfect place for us. Our host was very helpful and accommodating. We plan to return!

Just divine!

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming and cozy cottage. The garden is the jewel in the crown — beautiful, private, sunny, lush! A great spot to soak in the hot tub or enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. The interior is lovely, comfortable, and spotless. The host was very responsive and personable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It was lovely and made for excellent stay while working in the area long hours. When not in meeting sitting at kitchen table and see the lovely back yard and having lunch there made traveling so nice.

The cottage was a perfect spot for my niece & I. It is exactly as deacribed, communication with owner was great & the outside area is so beautiful/relaxing. We choose the house for the close location to the beach & going to get our reiki treatments at the Valley Salt cave. We definitely will reserve again!!

Amazing host & Excellent home

Kerstan is the BEST host we’ve ever had! We have stayed at many VBRO properties & this was a great find. Super clean, greatly stocked kitchen, TV with streaming of all options one could want. I’m a big walker & neighborhood is very safe with lots of challenging hills. Host was very responsive to all request.

We would stay here again!

The photos are accurate, but the real cottage is even nicer! The rooms are large and bright and the kitchen had all the pots and pans and utensils for anyone who likes to cook. With the surrounding hills and trees, the neighborhood is incredibly quiet, but convenient to the many restaurants and stores and businesses on Ventura Blvd and the Valley. Kirsten was very communicative and helpful and friendly, and she answered all our questions. My wife and I highly recommend this property for your getaway to the Los Angeles area! ----Bill and Amy

Rest & Recovery

Kirsten’s home was the perfect location for my mom & I to relax and recover as she healed from a major surgery. The property is very special: Kirsten has created such a sense of home, costal living, and serenity through design. We slept and rested comfortably; bathrooms & kitchen were well stocked. Our favorite part was of course the garden and her two outdoor cats Vixen & Willis; they greeted us for morning coffee and evening wine on the patio which was such a joy. The location was very convenient, it's less than 5 min drive to groceries etc. Finally, Kirsten's communication and accommodation to our ever changing situation was above and beyond. Thank you, Kirsten, for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Ideal Retreat in Woodland Hills

We travel to the valley about 3 times each year to visit our daughter and have stayed in a wide variety of properties - hotels, condos, full rental homes, and ADU's. This property is easily our favorite of the bunch and we could not have been happier in our choice. Close to shopping and an ideal launchpoint for any LA adventure, Kirsten's home is a spacious, bright and calming spot, situated in a charming and convenient neighborhood, just off Topanga Canyon Blvd. The home is situated on a beautiful lot with attractive gardens and outdoor seating to chill and unwind - a very meditative environment. The interior is similarly inviting - tasteful decor, big screen tv, a very comfy master suite, walk-in shower, soaking tub, and a generous and fully appointed kitchen - it truly has it all. The easy-going flow of the home, combined with the abundant natural light made for a very relaxing vibe - an excellent retreat for the three of us. The icing on the cake was our gracious host, who communicated efficiently from the start and made everything as smooth as silk. We were pleased that we could meet face to face and express our appreciation for this very stylish and serene home. Thanks, Kirsten - we will return!

I split my time between the studio apartment in the back, and my family's beach house, so if you need ANYTHING during your stay, I am available.

I love my home in Woodland Hills because it is Topanga-adjacent: close to hiking trails and the beach AND freeway close, in a walkable neighborhood, with tons of dining and shopping opportunities nearby. I am a Realtor who specializes in the surrounding area. So for me, this home checked all of the boxes!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

We have two formally ferral kitties, Willis (fluffy) and Vixen (short hair) who have become the neighborhood Moussers and they like to hang around and get rubs. If you see their bowls on the back steps, feel free to give them a small amount of dry food (you'll see the bag under the sink.) If you don't want to be bothered, don't worry, they are excellent hunters and can fend for themselves!
I also am an avid gardener. I have spent 10 years fine tuning the garden which is full of fruit trees and succulents, flowers and a veggie garden for fresh picked produce to cook with. If you'd like any succulent cuttings, feel free to ask!
