Appartement spacieux à Orleans avec accès à la plage privée

Détendez-vous à Tom's Roost, un appartement entièrement séparé de notre maison située au sud d’Orléans. Marcher seulement 400 mètres à une magnifique plage privée sur Little Pleasant Bay partagée par une demi-douzaine de maisons. Apportez votre kayak ou paddleboard! (ou louer sur place) Grande marche et vélo toute l'année.

Notre belle maison tranquille est sur une ruelle boisée en face d'un petit étang (vous pouvez entendre les grenouilles la nuit!). Entrée et escalier de l'appartement privé menant aux pièces lumineuses du deuxième étage. Buanderie, des tonnes d'espace de rangement, planchers de chêne partout, AC central. Parfait pour un couple, 3 adultes ou une petite famille; peut accueillir jusqu'à 4 personnes avec une chambre queen et un grand canapé-lit dans le salon. La cuisine a des armoires personnalisées, les comptoirs en Corian, D / W, verre-top électrique gamme / micro-ondes. Bain carrelé avec baignoire à jets surdimensionnée et douche à effet pluie.

Loin des foules mais pratique: 10 minutes du centre d’Orléans et de la piste cyclable, 15 minutes de la plage de Nauset ou de Chatham, 20 minutes du National Seashore et 25 minutes de Wellfleet.

Espace extérieur avec table / chaises et barbecue voie surplombant et étang. Chaises de plage, serviettes, parasol fournis. Locataires d'âge mûr, s'il vous plaît; nous demandons calme après 22 heures. Non fumeur / animaux. Parking pour 1 véhicule d'invité.

The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hosts are lovely, good communicators/responsive and accommodating. The private beach would be nice, but not really a place to relax during the mid-summer buggy season. The frogs’ vocalizations from the nearby pond were delightful.

Wonderful apartment

The apartment was perfect for my wife and me for a week's summer stay. The apartment was clean, modern, quiet, well appointed, walking distance to a beautiful private beach, a 10 minute drive to downtown Orleans that had great shopping and restaurants, and with a host who was responsive, helpful, and respectful. We'd love to return.

Great mid Cape spot

Diana and Greg are wonderful people with a super comfortable, clean and conveniently located apartment. All the needed amenities and a short walk to a great little beach on Pleasant Bay. The evenings and mornings are a serenade from the amphibious and avian neighbors-beautiful as you sit up in the canopy of oak trees. The areas ecology and landscape are unique and wonderful. Great spot and great hospitality!

Perfect Couple's Getaway

Relaxing, quiet and restorative. The apartment was immaculate, completely equipped, and we were grateful for the air conditioning. Diana & Greg were very easy to work with during the reservation process, and once we arrived, they were excellent hosts: friendly, knowledgeable about the area, yet unobtrusive. We felt like we were living in a tree house for the week! Lovely beach 5 minute walk away, easy access to restaurants and shopping.

Warm, inviting, magical oasis!

Diana and Greg were the most incredible hosts. Diana welcomed me to their home and made sure I had everything I needed for my short stay. They had tons of recommendations on where to explore and eat in the Cape, all mapped out for me. The home itself was so inviting and comfortable, with beautiful views (and sounds) of the woods. Then the private trail to the beach was nothing short of magical! I will have to plan another trip to Cape Cod just to stay at Tom's Roost again.

Beautiful Location, Wonderful Hosts

This was truly a hidden gem in a quiet bit of paradise I never even knew existed on the Cape. The apartment was comfortable and spotless, not to mention extremely peaceful. The property was surrounded by natural beauty, and just a few steps from the private entrance to Little Pleasant Bay. The water was so clear that you could see horseshoe crabs and other marine life just as clearly as if you were snorkeling. Diana and Greg were wonderful hosts, and extremely accommodating. If you’re looking for a lovely retreat that provides relaxation , walks through nature, a beach with crystal clear water, and the added benefit of being just a short drive or bike ride into town, then “ Tom’s Roost” is the perfect place for your next getaway!

Toms Roost

We spent a week in August at Toms Roost, which is an apartment over the garage, of the owners Greg and Diana. We immediately felt at home upon entering the apartment. During the week, Greg and Diana, were available for questions, but unobtrusive as hosts. It was beautifully decorated, and was stocked with everything you could need, just as if you were in your own home. Including a magnifying mirror for those who are over 50. Were able to find all the utensils we needed to make breakfast everyday, before venturing out to shops in Chatham , Provincetown, and sunbathing at the nearby Nauset Beach. Toms Roost has the most stunning view from the apartment windows, there are many trees, with moss growing over them, and flowers in the garden. I kept my blinds open at night, so I could wake in the morning to natures splendor. Although there is a beach down the road a bit, the terrain is a bit rough to navigate for those with bad knees like my husband. So we only walked there once, to check it out. It was a very beautiful secluded spot . I interacted with Diana via texts, through the week, and she went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. We highly recommend a stay at Toms Roost. After a warm welcome we were introduced to our extremely clean apartment located a short walk to a quiet beach on Little Pleasant Bay in South Orleans. What could have been more perfect! Nestled in a wooded area this well designed apartment is very comfortable for the two of us and for a few nights our nine year grandson. Having grown up not far away this very much felt like “home.”

Quiet & Reviving

Diana and Greg’s place was PERFECT for us! The bed was super comfortable. The shower and jet tub refreshing. It was enough space for us to chillax in the living room, eat in the dining room and cook dinner for a family visit in the kitchen. We went to the beach twice a day. The water temperature was refreshing (but not brrrr cold) for our swim. Horseshoe crabs, crabs, snails and even a seal kept us company as we walked the shore. Diana provided us with the Orleans Walking Trails map provided by The Orleans Conservation Trust. Take it and go on the walks. We walked 6 of the 12 trails. On three of the walks, we were the only ones on the trail. Thank you, Diana and Greg, for offering this amazing place and sharing your knowledge of Orleans and the area. It added richness to our holiday.

A wonderful place

Diana and Greg are cheerful, welcoming hosts. We had a lovely time. The apartment was perfectly comfortable, with everything we needed for great sleep, home cooking and unhurried leisure. We loved being surrounded by trees and gazing out at dozens of beautiful birds. We quickly came to appreciate the tranquility -- and comfortable water temperatures -- of the beach, about a 10 minute walk through the woods. We hope to come back.

Tom's Roost worth a visit!

Great experience at this property with Diana and Greg. The apartment was perfect for us, comfortable and stocked with all of the things we needed. It was quiet, in a very nice part of Cape Cod that we hadn't been to before, and well within range of a lot of fun beaches and activities. We didn't make as much use of the private beach as we thought we would, but we spent a great, quiet day out there searching for shells and relaxing. Overall, a great stay and we'd definitely recommend and consider staying again!

Fabulous. Had everything we needed for a week away for a family of four. Clean, spacious, very accommodating with all the supplies your home away at the cape would require. Delightful!

We chose Tom's Roost for the location (tucked away, but accessible) and facilities (everything we needed!) and were not disappointed. The property was easy to find and gave us an abundance of touring options - we found our 'tip to toe' tour of the Cape a breeze! We were also delighted to be able to leave the apartment door and be face-to-face with nature and able to continue with our exercise regime with regular runs along a route suggested by the owner. That didn't make us feel quite so guilty for indulging at the broad array of local eateries! Diana & Greg were great hosts too, Always on hand if we had questions, but never in our faces.

Perfect Holiday Home

This was the perfect holiday home for our stay in Cape Cod. We were delighted with the apartment and its location. It is beautifully appointed, maintained and equipped, bright fresh and very comfortable. The location, provides access to some of the most gorgeous small towns and stunning beaches. Diana and Greg proved to be the perfect hosts, helpful and supportive but allowing us the peace and privacy that we needed to enjoy our first visit to Cape Cod.

Nous avons grandement apprécié notre séjour chez Diana et Greg pour plusieurs raisons: - Endroit calme et paisible; - Appartement spacieux et très propre; - Cuisine très complète; - À proximité, en voiture, des plages, épiceries, fish market, liquor store, ... - Localisation centrale pour ceux voulant visiter Martha's Vineyard et Provincetown; - Les propriétaires sont respectueux, discrets, mais présents en cas de besoin; - Petite plage privée à proximité (5 minutes à pied environ), mais nous y sommes allées qu'une demi-journée. Malgré notre appréciation pour cet endroit, nous tenons à ajouter un point: - L'endroit extérieur pourrait être plus optimal. Il n'y a qu'une minuscule table instable en fer forgée, pas confortable et peu de place pour un souper. Nous avons donc opté pour des repas à l'intérieur. Dommage lorsqu'il fait si beau. Je recommande cet endroit sans hésitation ! 4.5 / 5.

Winter in Cape Cod

Tom's Roost was a delightful place to spend a few days in December. The apartment was very warm and peaceful - we sat, relaxed and watched the snow fall. It was an excellent base from which to explore Cape Cod and a pleasure to return to Tom's Roost at night.

Beautiful apartment with lovely private beach

As the photos illustrate, this is a beautiful, immaculate apartment with an ideal location, 5 minutes from the center of East Orleans. We loved the private beach and found the apartment well-equipped with everything a family would need. The owners, Greg and Diana, were helpful but not intrusive. We would absolutely rent here again!

Peaceful, secluded escape on the Cape

Diana & Greg's apartment was exactly what my fiancé and I wanted when looking for a quiet place for some R&R before a Labor Day weekend wedding we were attending. The apartment is very generous in size, super clean and bright and airy. Diana and Greg as hosts are superb; accessible and willing to share insights regarding the area yet you wouldn't even know they were on the same property without seeking them out. The private beach is awesome, picturesque cape cod. The apartment is a very short drive to downtown Orleans, where we parked trouble free and hopped on the Cape Cod Rail Trail for a great, scenic bike ride to Wellfleet. Overall, highly recommend this apartment for a couple or small group looking for a relaxing stay on the cape, close to the crowds yet far enough away!

We relocated in 2008 from San Francisco to Cape Cod, where Greg was born and raised, and recently found this wonderful house where we have room for our offices (Greg's an architect, Diana's a writer), guests, and a beautiful apartment as a bonus. We travel to the Bay Area often for business and to visit family and friends. We have a friendly cat named Willa (who isn't allowed in the apartment).

South Orleans is the quiet side of the Cape, which can get hectic in summer on the main roads! We love this part of Orleans for that reason, and because we have boating access to the whole Pleasant Bay ecosystem, all the way out to the Atlantic. It's also very convenient, almost equidistant from Orleans center and picturesque Chatham.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The apartment is air-conditioned, impeccably equipped, and totally charming. The location on a private lane is supremely peaceful. Best of all, it's just a short walk to a stunning private beach where we and our guests have deeded rights. It's also very close to town landings (launch a kayak and land on the beach), bike trail, freshwater swimming lakes, and all in-town amenities. And short drives to famed Outer Cape villages: Wellfleet, Truro, Provincetown.
