The Getaway in DT Northfield!

Welcome to The Getaway! Make yourself at home in this spacious loft-style apartment. Located in the heart of Northfield’s historic downtown district, the recently renovated apartment offers modern-day amenities with its original old-world charm. You'll love the 10-foot ceilings, skylights, arched windows & open-concept space. In addition to the one-bedroom with a walk-in closet, The Getaway boasts an office, dining space, living room, cozy reading nook, full kitchen & Queen pull-out couch.

We are located in a historical building on popular Division Street. Our apartment offers two entrances. The ground-level entrance makes check-in a breeze, and the second entrance allows you to easily access the Division Street amenities.

The Getaway has a large kitchen (with all your cooking needs), dining space & comfortable living room. The brand-new couch has a comfortable pull-out mattress for groups with more than two guests. The bedroom has a king-sized bed and a large closet to store all of your travel accessories. Looking to catch up on some work? The Getaway also has a comfy office with high-speed internet.

Looking for more space? We have a studio apartment located in the same building that is also available for rental. Let us know if you're interested, and we can work with you to book both!

We have onsite laundry (detergent provided).

We're available throughout your stay through AirBnB and our provided phone number.

Along the banks of the Cannon River lies charming Northfield, Minnesota. With its 150 years of history, art, culture, and education, Northfield offers something for everyone. The Getaway is located on historic Division Street, the epicenter of downtown Northfield. Shopping, restaurants, nightlife, parks, and the Cannon River are all within steps of The Getaway.

Downtown Northfield is easily walkable and can be explored on foot. Ample free parking is available across the city as you explore all Northfield has to offer. The city is also very bike friendly. The Getaway has a dedicated free parking spot on location. The apartment has two entrances. Guests can choose to enter the apartment on the ground level with their luggage, but can also enter and exit directly on Division Street using a flight of stairs.

This property is spectacular! It is so cozy yet modern and has the highest quality items throughout - from the pots and pans, to the towels & bedding, to the furniture and decor. Annie our host is responsive and helpful and clearly knows how to do this VRBO thing right! Our only regret is that we only stayed 2 nights! Next year it’ll be at least 3 nights! Would give 10 stars if I could.

Adorable Getaway!

My son and I came back to Northfield for a Carleton/St Olaf football game of town rivals. The ease, convenience, cleanliness and many extras such as tea, coffee, snacks, and toiletries was so appreciated! Annie has thought of everything and has stocked the getaway with everything needed for a weekend. The location is so great right in the heart of the village. The only down side, which wasn’t much of an issue for us as we weren’t in the unit much, is the next door unit when rented can be heard through the hallway. You can’t hear from the master bedroom but can hear in the kitchen and living room where my son slept. However this could be similar to staying in a hotel and hearing the adjoining room. Overall though we loved it and would love to come back again! Thanks Annie!

We love your history yet modern and cozy loft in downtown Northfield. No details were spared - favorites include the window seat, comfy bedroom, full kitchen, brick wall and all of the extras - snacks, toiletry items, coffee. Great getaway

Friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect location for walking to dining, ice cream, and some long hikes in the arboretum. Space very thoughtfully laid out, clean, and comfortable! Loved everything

We absolutely loved this little place! It was perfect for our girls weekend. We had our own parking spot which was so nice! One entrance brought you right to all the shops which was so perfect! The owners thought of everything including an extra fan and sound machine which was so nice. Highly recommend and hope to come back again!

Amazing apartment

My husband and I stayed here after our wedding at Red Barn Farm and we loved it!! The check in process was super easy and communicated very well!! It was the perfect place for us to stay and the location was great! We can’t wait to come stay again the next time we visit Northfield!!

Amazing Getaway!

A well appointed, comfortable, and beautiful space to stay in Northfield. This apartment is conveniently located in downtown Northfield close to great restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, eclectic local shops, and the two colleges on Northfield’s periphery. The owners are super responsive and have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We will definitely stay here again if available.

The recently renovated apartment offers modern-day amenities with its original old-world charm. This one-bedroom is extremely spacious and offers a dedicated office for those traveling for work.
