Host was very responsive and communicative. Check in was smooth. 8 people and 2 dogs had enough space and we were comfortable. Overall stay was great. Couldn’t use the dome or the hot tub because was dirty. Basement was unfinished and super cold

This place was amazing! We used it for a weekend getaway with 8 women. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The hot tub, sauna, and dome added the perfect touch to our getaway.

Amazing Cottage

We all really enjoyed our time at the cottage. There were a lot of great amenities and activities to do and the hosts were very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend a stay at this unique cottage experience.

James’ places was fantastic, it was clean and the location was convenient. Our group had a blast at the property and we were surprised at how many amenities the cottage had.

Perfect weekend getaway!

This was a perfect vacation for our family. Loved everything about the entire experience. Owner was super responsive & when the stove did not work, he got a technician to fix it right before our arrival. The beds were very comfortable including the linens. Will surely come again.

We had a great time. The house was big enough to fit 10 of us comfortably. The property owner was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The check in process went smooth. All house information was provided prior to check in and throughout.

Fantastic winter getaway

The cottage and property were very clean and exactly as shown in the pictures. Communication with the host was very easy and responsive. The sauna and hot tub were in great shape. This is a great cottage for friends and family to enjoy! Lots of space and all the amenities you need to enjoy yourself and be comfortable. We definitely recommend this cottage and hope to come back soon :)

Spacious Place for Fun Time

We had a fantastic stay at this property! From the beginning, the host was incredibly reliable and friendly, always quick to respond to any questions we had. The check-in process was seamless and stress-free, which made settling in a breeze. The house itself was wonderfully spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax and enjoy our time. The living room area was a highlight—comfortable, inviting, and perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. We also appreciated the well-thought-out TV setup and the selection of games available, which added an extra layer of fun to our stay. Overall, this place was a great choice for our getaway, and we’d definitely recommend it to others!

A Perfect Indoor Oasis!

Absolutely incredible stay! Our recent cottage getaway was pure bliss from start to finish. We spent most of our time indoors, truly taking advantage of all the amazing amenities. The sauna was a dream, and the hot tub provided the perfect spot to unwind and relax. The outdoor dome was such a unique and cozy touch – we loved spending time in there!The cottage itself was exceptionally well-furnished, making it feel like a luxurious home away from home. Every detail was thoughtfully considered. What really stood out was how super clean everything was, and the instructions provided in advance were incredibly clear, making our arrival and entire stay seamless. This place truly exceeded our expectations. We would definitely look to book another trip here!

Quaint cottage

Area was nice, albeit a bit crowded with neighbours pretty close by. The dome was a great addition, but the first time we went in to check, the zipper for the entrance opened and wouldn’t close, so we couldn’t use it. Cottage came fully stocked with cooking/kitchen utensils, cookware, dishware, etc. and bedsheets/towels. Other than the dome, everything was as advertised.

Thanks for staying with us and we're happy you had a great stay! We've done our best to make the property private and secluded, though we do have neighbours on both sides. They're reasonably far away but still there. We've fixed the zipper on the dome and appologize for that inconvenience. One of my favourite getaways!

This place blew my expectations out the water. From the listing description I had high hopes and was somehow even more impressed upon arriving. The place was super clean and we felt right at home. Everything we could need was there, and all of the cool amenities made this a super special and fun stay. The beds were super comfortable and cozy, and the heated floors in the bathroom made me want to move in! I have rented many places before and have never had a better experience, from the cleanliness, homey feeling, fun amenities, chic and cute decor/vibes, and of course how welcome the host made us feel, he was very communicative and eager to ensure we had the best stay. I would 100% rent this place again and recommend it to others!

direction for the amenities were very helpful,,,,hot tub ready to go, that was nice, beds were nice to sleep in, with warm cover sand pillows .. heated floor in bath room nice touch ,,, basement a bit unfinished ,and not much decor on walls, throughout some spots could us a little TLC ,like base boards in washroom ... and throughout ,,,, side door base could use replacement ,, pouches could use a cedar stain .on them for esthetics and first impression,,,,,, ,, firepit was nice did not try the sauna ,,tv worked fine ,,PS ; converter battery running low ,, kitchen well stocked maybe a few more large plates, dishwasher worked well ,,,,remind guests of type of coffee maker to bring proper coffee Podi, home heating was working fine throughout home ,,no power outages, dome was ok some panels covered / , paths were well shoveled, snow plowed,, parking was well plowed,, Beer fridge is nice. Overall good value for the location and good access. to Minden and Haliburton for skiing, snow shoeing, they came in handy,,,. ,, ice racing in Minden, and ice fishing ..famiy had a good time ..all amenities as advertised, thanks

Our stay at this cottage was nothing short of magical! Our group of friends were looking for a place to vacation together and this place was perfect and had it all for a very reasonable price. The space was very clean and had a lot of amenities like a hot tub, sauna, ping pong table, boardgames and a movie projector—there was never a shortage of activities for us to do. The cottage offers a very peaceful atmosphere with serene views of nature all around- especially picturesque this time of year with all of the snow. I’d like to point out as our stay took place in the winter, that the driveway was well groomed and maintained, and the area around the house was very well salted so we had no concerns for safety or access. The heated tiles in the bathroom were a very nice addition during this season of cold weather too too. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to our host who was very quick to respond, professional, kind and very accommodating to our needs and concerns. The host went out of their way to ensure booking went smoothly and that we had a wonderful and comfortable stay, and for that we owe you great thanks! I would recommend a stay here, as I would absolutely come again.

Beautiful Property and Friendly Host

The cottage was lovely, very clean and it is apparent that a lot of thought and care went into this listing by the host. Before our stay, we were sent a link with full house details and instruction videos that really left no room for uncertainty with how to use amenities such as the hot tub, sauna and dome. We enjoyed the hot tub and dome but never got to using the sauna. We stayed with 2 adults and a medium/large dog - we all had a great time and loved our stay. Would definitely recommend. There are charges if you don’t take garbage but the local waste station in Haliburton did not charge us for disposal on our departure which was great We went during off season (May) but host had outdoor activities available for all seasons (snow shoes, inflatable paddle boards, outdoor games) which was nice even though we didn’t use. I have sent this property to friends and family and would definitely return in future!

Stay far away!

Although the yard was enjoyable, this listing is far from how it’s shown. One disappointment after the other. I’m unsure how this space for any 5 star reviews. Although James was responsive during our stay as I was listing issues throughout the entire weekend, nothing has been done to compensate us. It was dirty, not well equipped, additional charges to get rid of our garbage at the local landfill, no Pac-Man or ping pong table as mentionned. We needed to shovel over an hour before we could access amenities, and the list goes on. Nice property but way overpriced and not new or clean like pics show! Steer clear! We were definitely had with this one.

Our listing is professionally cleaned before every guest and we consistently get incredible ratings for cleanliness. We also have pictures of the listing prior to your check in that show it being spotlessly clean. We're sorry to hear that you found the listing to not be well equipped, as all our other guests have been very happy with the property, the fully stocked kitchen and the ample amenities. We don't have a Pac Man machine, however the ping pong table is in the basement and it's pretty hard to miss :) We ask guests to please sort their trash so that our cleaners can dispose of it at the dump. As long as it's sorted there are no additional fees. We also have our entire driveway plowed after every snowfall, and walkways and decks shovelled off. As I'm sure guests will notice from reading our other reviews, this guest was searching for opportunities to receive discounts. We're happy to receive constructive feedback and always use it for improvement (so long as it's honest).
