Perched on the Nubble of York, this stunning four-bedroom ensuite home offers sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, stretching from Long Sands Beach all the way to the Isles of Shoals. Step out onto the expansive 600+ sq. ft. oceanfront patio and feel the salty breeze as the waves crash against the rocks below — the perfect setting for morning coffee, sunset cocktails, or relaxed evenings under the stars.

Inside, you’ll find a bright, open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the ocean like a living work of art. The balcony just off the main living space invites you to take in the endless horizon and the ever-changing coastal scenery.
Upstairs, the primary suite is a serene retreat with breathtaking views and a private balcony, ideal for quiet mornings or romantic sunsets. Each bedroom features its own ensuite bathroom, offering privacy and comfort for families or groups traveling together.

Gorgeous home with fantastic view

My family just finished a one week stay at On The Rocks. The house was as wonderful as described and pictured, however the pictures do not do justice to the fantastic views from the home’s perch on the cliffs. Sitting out on the decks in the evenings with lights shining down on the rocks and water were memorable. My children and grandchildren enjoyed the location being equidistant from Nubble Lighthouse (and Dunne’s Ice Cream) and the beaches. All of the staff at Salt & Shine were wonderful to deal with and quickly responded to our ‘how to’ inquiries regarding use of the home’s features.

Absolutely Amazing

3 for 3 at Love On The Rocks!

We had our third annual family vacation at Love On The Rocks and it is as great as the first trip! 15 minute walk to either Long Sands, Short Sands or the Nubble Lighthouse , parking for 5 cars, and second to none views of the ocean and Long Sands. The Salt & Shine team is great and extremely responsive and attentive to every detail. We brought our dog and they were very accomodating of that. The added perk of willing to do you shopping for you and have the house stocked when you arrive really helps to start vacation on the right foot. As a rental property owner ourselves we have high standards for any places we rent, and this house was top notch. Highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a spacious house near the beach with unbeatable views!

Perfect for family gatherings

On the Rocks is a wonderful house to gather and celebrate with family. Plenty of room for everyone and spotless! Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen is provided. Relaxing, cozy, social, stunning Vacation.

We loved this home that is beautiful, spacious yet cozy, with modern and updated kitchen and baths. Our family and friends enjoy cooking and eating in. The kitchen in this home is fully equipped with quality cooking, cutting, and dinner ware and the open floor plan allowed for socialization. The decor is quaint and comfy, but best of all is the view, salt air and the sound of waves lapping on the rocks. I forgot to mention the outdoor furniture and fire pit, awesome. Walks on Long Beach were a bonus

Beautiful Home and Spectacular Views

We stayed at On the Rocks and had the most wonderful time. We were celebrating our parents 50th wedding anniversary with ourselves and a couple family friends. The view is so incredible from most of the house and from the beautiful decks and patio. The house had all the amenities and plenty of space for 10 people the sleep and socialize. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. We were so happy with our concierge Katie. She was responsive and helped us with reservations and other questions about local things in the area. This is a dream house and we were lucky to host our celebration there.

Great House - Spectacular View !

This is a very well maintained house near the Nubble Lighthouse. It is well stocked with kitchen supplies and utensils as well as spices/cooking oils. A group of 3 couples easily stayed here, with three spacious bedrooms in the main house, and one over the garage which is behind the house. Instructions were clear and management was easily accessible. The view from the porch which runs the length of the house is spectacular. The gas barbecue is large, new, and good quality. Although houses in this area are relatively close together, this one is spaced so as not to be directly next to the neighbors, offering both expansive views and privacy. At least two restaurants are in walking distance, as is an ice cream stand. We had a wonderful stay.

Another great vacation at On The Rocks.

This was our second consecutive time staying at On The Rocks and everything about the house, location, and service team were once again excellent! The location is unbeatable, literally sitting on the rocks with unobstructed views of Long Sands, which is an easy 10-15 minute walk to the bathhouse (mid-beach) and 10-15 minute walk to the Lighthouse and York's local clams and ice cream hotspots. The house itself is updated with everything you need, including plenty of beach chairs and coolers so you can leave those at home. Most importantly, the service team at Salt n Shine was excellent as always. They regularly communicated with us both before and during our vacation to make sure everything was taken care of. Having them do the food shopping and stocking the house is a great added service in order to avoid the crowds at the local supermarket on check-in day. We are also rental property owners and our standards for service are as high as we provide to our customers, and the overall house and team deservedly earned their 5-star rating. You will love everything about this property!

Exceeded expectations!

Home is beautiful and spacious, and view is breathtaking. We found we didn’t want to leave often since location was so perfect and comfortable for family of 8 w/3 generations. When we tore ourselves away from home we didn’t have to travel far to enjoy York and it’s beaches, shops, and restaurants. Property management company was outstanding. Very responsive. We would definitely book this place again.

Always Sunny on the Rocks!

So
we didn’t have the best beach weather but staying in this beautiful home with its incredible view made it feel like the sun was out everyday. The open concept living space sitting up high above the ocean, made it a pleasure to cook and just simply hangout as a family. I loved the deck too with the awning out while we sipped our morning coffee. Our whole family loved the space and the walk to beach location. The Management Team, Salt and Shine, did an amazing job preparing our home and their complete communication was beyond compare to any other place we’ve rented. A special shout out to Hannah, Danielle and John!! My husband and I really appreciated how you were always there to answer any of our questions. Thank you for making our vacation so special!!

Our entire family enjoyed our vacation for thanksgiving, Daniele the property manager was superb to work with and easy! Property is stunning, with fabulous sunrises and sunsets, great kitchen with all aspects of making a great meal!! I would definitely recommend and stay again!!

THE VERY BEST STAY IN YORK, MAINE

We were a group of 8 - 6 adults and 2 6 year olds. The house was everything we could have ever wanted, the view was perfection, short sands beach was perfect. We are now waiting on the calendar for next year so we can book again and maybe longer. 5 stars all the way!!!!!!!

Family Get together

Our stay at this property was great. The rental agency was very helpful and in touch with us before and during our time in Maine. I rented the cottage so that my sisters (we live all over the map)and I could spend time together. We had a wonderful time! The location of the property was perfect and allowed us to take day trips around the area. We purchased our own food and had most dinners at the cottage because it was so relaxing. The cottage was well stocked making meal prep easy. The views outside were priceless. I highly recommend this lovely home for a perfect Maine getaway.

The place worked out so well. Everyone had their own space and we enjoyed our time there. We were able to get outside and enjoy the views and fire pit. The house especially the bathrooms were amazing. I felt pampered with the amenities including the steam shower and bidet. Would love to come back here, absolutely beautiful Management was awesome and very responsive when we had an issue with the internet, 5 star customer service!!

A Terrific Location

This wonderful home on a cliff overlooking York Bay comfortably fit us four friends - with terrific views, plenty of windows and very easy access to York, and further coast towns on 1A to the north. The best recommendation? We would definitely stay at On the Rocks again.

Beautiful Oceanfront Location

We enjoyed our family reunion at this home. The location and views were incredible. Staring at the ocean does not get old (rain or shine). Enough space for the 9 of us (2 in the guesthouse house). Master bedroom is by far the best bedroom with amazing views. First floor queen mattress probably needs to be replaced. Other than that the house is well stocked, nicely renovated, the management was very responsive, and the location/views were perfect.

Disappointed with Mgr / Owner

Good location, nice home and great views. Disappointed with Mgr / Owner given the amount we paid. With over $1,000 in owner and service fees for our 4 night stay we paid over $1,300 per night. This was fine for the quality of the property, but we didn’t have enough hot water in the guest house the first two days and none the last two days. We were told they couldn’t get a plumber because it was a weekend. They scheduled landscapers for clean-up and mulching so we had yard workers where we were trying to enjoy the backyard for over 5-hours the first day of our trip and they were back the next morning mowing and cleaning up. The house was clean but didn’t have the touches you’d expect - for example the manager told us wood for the fire pit was consumable and we had to get our own, there was only one bath towel in the guest house, there were no tissues in either house, the master bedroom closet was locked so there was no closet in the room and the guest house had no closet. When we complained about the inconvenience with the hot water and landscapers we were offered a $100 discount which we felt was inadequate given the $5,200+ price. They ended up crediting $350 which did not satisfy us.
