We are actively working to increase the comfort of the beds. Some of the style of the house has a cabin feel but we provide modern amenities that our guests come to expect. We have taken the time to speak with this guest directly and we appreciate her feedback. We plan to continue updating the property this summer season and look forward to her family's return in the future.

This review was written in their frustration that they weren't allow to use the property beyond checkout. Our pet policy and fee is on our listing. Guests continue to ignore the policy. Theses guests and the family traveling with them are not the groups we want to be hosting.

Jennifer arrived the day of a significant snowfall. It had been plowed but not yet sanded as the plow providers had been out all day plowing and not returned for sanding yet. While sanding certainly helps with slick snow, it is not a requirement to navigate the driveway. I did not state that many or all cars have problems, there is about 1 car per season that has an issue. Those that have issues likely are on the edge of the tire tread life or less familiar with mountain conditions in the winter. Winter conditions can change rapidly and be unpredictable. At no cost to Jennifer the plow provider helped them get their car down the driveway. We understand it wasn't on the schedule desired but that is not the primary focus of such a company. Yes I suggested calling AAA as an option as they would likely be able to get to it sooner. Our pet policies are included in the listing. At booking we asked if any pet was traveling and provided the policies. Due to many guests ignoring or failing to report a pet traveling, our policies have become more restrictive over the years. Personally I would never bring by pet to a rental with the expectation there aren't rules to abide by. We allows pets for those that feel they can't leave their pet elsewhere but the property is not for the free reign of any pet. Even the best behaved pets do funny things in new places. My own dog follows all of these same rules.

We cannot please everyone and that was the case with Lew. When tenants are up front about their bringing of pets we provide all the rules for them so they can make a decision about staying with us. Lew brought two dogs and made no mention of them in his communication. There was no mention of any issue or concern during his stay, had any concerns been brought to our attention we would have addressed them accordingly. It is disappointing that so many would rather complain through a review than report problems upon arrival as outlined in our check-in instructions. Many of the items listed are exaggerated or since resolved, specifically the noise from over a mile away. Surfaces are cleaned after every group and additional guidelines are being followed as part of COVID-19.
