All the rooms were fairly cleaned and the restrooms were very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed and having a washer and dryer saved us. Overall would just say the condo needs a good vacuuming especially in the hidden places and maybe better lighting.

The host was attentive but the condition , mostly cleanliness, was unacceptable. We booked at the last minute and read previous reviews of how it needed paint and updating. We thought possibly they had enough time to tend to those matters. Not so. Carpeting was disgusting…wouldn’t dare walk barefoot on it. Walls needed painting and bathrooms were in need of some deep cleaning. We appreciated the linen service. The resort itself was amazing and we hope to find a condo in better shape next time.

The resort and pools were great. The access to the beach was perfect. Views, amazing! We had a couple cockroaches that maintenance needed to spray for and the unit needs updating. The appliances were dirty and the carpet had multiple stains. New appliances and carpet - maybe some paint, would go a long way. The pricing was inexpensive comparatively, so you get what you pay for I guess. With the view, and some updates, it would be stunning and I would pay for it!

Christmas in South Padre Island

The location was absolutely perfect! Beautiful pool and hot tub right outside and the beach was super close!! The carpeting throughout was old and discolored, the furniture was a bit outdated and the bottom heating element in the stove didn't work, so we had to cook using the broil option. All in all, we had a wonderful vacation and we can't wait to come back!!

Great place to stay, super close to the beach!

Great building very close to the beachfront and very close to the pool area as well. There was an issue with the upstairs shower were the water did not flow very hard which im sure could be fixed easily. Also the temperature of the place was very hot when we first arrived, I would recommend starting the AC previous to renters arriving as it took a day for the place to be at an Ok temperature. Besides that, beds were very comfy, clean place, would stay there again.

Thank you for the recommendation about the A/C, I have added that to my pre-arrival check list so each one of my guests will walk into a cool comfortable condo. Overall Good Condo and Location

Place was okay for price. It is an older resort and needs some maintenance on the exterior. Check-in took a little longer to get wrist bands as several people arrived at the same time. I am not sure why it couldn't have gone faster than. Key pickup and drop off was at a different location, but on the way to the condo.

Disappointed

The property was in a great location, but that didn’t make up for the overall cleanliness and need for updates. The carpeting was very outdated and dirty bathrooms needed a lot of attention. Painting would go a long way.

Fishing trip

Unit has great views, but is trashed out. Carpets all have major stains, couches are shot with no padding left, refrigerator works but rust everywhere on out, bathroom vents no longer work. Disappointed in this unit.

Amazing location!!

This condo was in an amazing location, and had plenty of room for our party of six. It was my husband and I, our adult son with his fiancé, and my two teen daughters. Having three bathrooms was quite a treat, so no one had to fight over a shower. The appliances were outdated, but worked great.The only somewhat less favorable feedback I have is while there were some pots and pans for preparing meals, the option was extremely limited. We did purchase two pans in town and leave them for future guests. Definitely not a dealbreaker on staying here again! The cleanliness of the property was fine, considering the fact that it is located on a beach so you will always have somewhat of that moist feel on the carpet and furniture. We will definitely consider this property again when we come back to town!

Excellent location to beach, interior needs updating.

Condo location was excellent. View of ocean and short walk to beach entry. A/C worked well and third floor bedroom (bird nest) has own A/C. Three full bathrooms to match the three bedrooms. Door access was simple and quick, plus allows a 30 min. later checkout. Condo is in need up upgrade. Flooring, appliances, and painting. Carpet needs to be replaced. Tile in some bathroom areas needs repairing. Refrigerator got cold, but exterior is rusted and beat up. Some A/C grilles rusted and walls could use a fresh coat of paint. Price felt high for condition of condo, yet location is a plus. A little TLC maintenance of the condo would be preferred to rent again at price point, yet hard to know conditions of any condo when old photos are used. Rent a beach canopy with the lounger chairs from develoment office. Nice to not have to haul that gear.

Beautiful View and steps away from the Beach!!

We really enjoyed our stay!! The view was amazing and the beach and big pool were steps away!! Very safe place, we even walked on the beach at night. Appliances need updating but other then that everything was great!!

Perfect pandemic vacation

Lovely pool and hot tub steps from the beach. We could easily social distance from other guests. Very private. We loved the combination lock on the door. Everything was so handy and convenient

Great location, desperately needs updating, significant roach problem

The Positives: - Great building beachfront location that's also immediately next to the pool. - Great views of Gulf - Professionally managed rental process is very solid and easy to follow The Negatives: - Unit has clearly not been updated since it was built. - Bad paint throughout, ugly/tired kitchen and appliances - SERIOUS ROACH PROBLEM - Maid service - upon arrival it did not look very clean and there were dead roaches on the carpets that had not been vacuumed away. __________________ We were at Bahia Mar with multiple families staying in other units. This one had the best location but was hands-down the ugliest of the units and the only that had not had at least some updating. Obviously the single biggest issue was the roach problem. After the first night with large roaches (both enormous palmetto bug types and smaller german cockroaches) visibly roaming the kitchen and throughout the unit (my wife actually awoke to a large one walking on us on the master bed) she went into town and bought about $50 worth of roach killer and traps and sprayed throughout the unit. We did notify the management co. about the problem so perhaps they will have the unit sprayed and it will be better for subsequent renters. Bahia Mar also seems to be a very good place to stay overall as they control access very thoroughly so the beach immediately in front of the property is not as jam-packed as other locations. I dislike writing such a negative review but the pest issue really needs to be seriously addressed and, for the price of the rental, every other unit I saw in the complex represented a better value. I suppose if you are visiting for Spring Break from college you might be more excited about staying here but for a family vacation is was very sub-par.

I want to first apologize for the issues that you have reported and let you know that all the issues you have stated have been addressed. It is very unfortunate that you had to experience any issues during your stay. I have talked with our housekeeping department and assisted in the retraining of our staff and have assigned an inspector that does a final walk through of the condo the day any guests is scheduled to check in. This inspector will make sure everything is cleaned and picked up prior to any guests checking in. We have also had pest control treat the condo and have purchased an all natural pest control treatment that we have applied and will continue to treat on a schedules basis. The current guests have confirmed they have not had any issues during their stay. Again, I apologize for the inconveniences during your stay. We have come together to makes sure this does not happen again. I am glad to hear that the view and location of the condo was great. I really enjoy the location and how well the grounds are kept, and I also like how easy it is to walk to Clayton's Beach Bar and Grill to relax right on the beach with delicious food and great drinks.
