Our Bayview Cottage in Seward offers a perfect blend of modern comfort and breathtaking views at the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. The second-story master king bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows and opens onto a private deck overlooking Resurrection Bay, providing a serene retreat. The 750-square-foot cabin spans two floors, featuring a floating staircase and a luxurious bathroom with freestanding tub, skylight, and tiled walk-in shower.
Designed with a sleek, modern aesthetic, the cabins also include a manual garage door that transforms the living area into an open-air space. The main floor features a queen-sized cabinet bed, and a fully equipped kitchen for convenient at-home dining. Guests also have access to a shared wood-burning sauna, on-site garden beds for fresh ingredients during the summer, private beach access, and free on-site parking.
For convenience and privacy, each cabin is equipped with a personalized -for self-check-in. While the property has a total of five cabins, guests can enjoy a peaceful and private experience.
This cabin is located at Salted Roots Seward, so please be mindful of other guests when using the outdoor shared spaces, including sauna, firepit, and beachfront.
Please remove you shoes while in the cabin.
Without a dishwasher, we ask that you clean you own dishes.

We met in San Diego and have always been drawn to salt water. We left in exploration of more things wild: mountains to climb, waters to kayak, trails to run, perspectives to encounter. We spent 3 years on the road, living out of our car and exploring North Americaâs public lands and communities, stumbling upon spaces, places, and people who inspired us and ultimately sharpened the pencil that created Salted Roots.
Seward won our hearts, with mountains, the ocean, and a national park right in our backyard. Alaska is wild - wild enough for us vagabonds to settle down roots⊠and then naturally the idea for Salted Roots sprouted. We bought the land in 2017, were married there shortly after, and began throwing together our future plans for the project with close friends. Our community helped us clear the land, and make our vision a reality.
