Overall positive experience

The stay started out rough. When we entered, we noticed there were LOTS of dead insects (mostly ants) covering the linoleum floor in the kitchen and bathroom areas especially. It looked as though someone had fumigated but not cleaned up afterwards. I texted the owner and his response was "dead is good." While I agree, it missed the larger point. He told us where to find a broom and dustpan, so we swept up the bugs and went on with our lives. Other than that the stay was fine, though there's a lack of surface areas to set things down on. Nothing but a small sink in the bathroom and the beds are so big there's no room for side tables for phones, etc.

Exactly what we wanted!

Cute & efficient downstairs duplex. Two bedrooms with massive & comfortable king beds and dog friendly! Honestly, we wanted to extend our stay but, sadly, the duplex calender was already booked! Host was responsive, too.

Comfortable place to stay for 2 with dogs

The lodging was comfortable (e.g., Beds, Living room). The location was midway between the beach and downtown, and spring training sites. Excellent communication with the host!

Bradenton stay

Very basic amenities. It was okay since we only slept and showered there. Street is very busy. Not ideal if you want to sit outside and enjoy the weather.

Great vacation

Finding a pet friendly rental is always challenging so we very happy to find the Downtown Getaway! Brent was very responsive & there are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores in the area. It was easy to get to all of our usual places & we had a great vacation. Thanks Brent!
