I am excited to share our 2 bedroom apartment on Calle Sol. One of the nicest streets in historic San Juan. Sleeps comfortably 4 on 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds with A/Cs in both bedrooms, fans for the living room, and WiFi

It has a great view from the 3rd/top floor of the building into courtyard (no elevator).

Located centrally to historic sites and attractions plus restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and grocery store

The high ceilings, the balcony/hall views and the combination of old San Juan and modern PR vibes makes this place feel breathtaking and unique. If you're visiting for vacations or for work, this is the best place!

The kitchen is equipped with utensils, pan, plates, cups, coffee maker, toaster and anything you need to make yourself a delicious meal. The grocery store is just a 4 min walk.

The beds are set with hypoallergenic sheets to offer the most comfortable sleep. We provide bathroom towels for every guest. The apartment is on a third floor, has an hallway exterior facing balcony. You might find street noise, its part of living in one of the best spots and a full of life street, with great restaurants and many bars surround our building. :) Its a 1900's building that has no elevator, but its worth every step!

The host was very responsive and friendly. The apartment was clean. We did have problems with the door lock not always working. One of the twin mattresses had a big lump the size of el Morro. There were no dish cloths, dish towels, or hand towels. In one bedroom there was a cabinet with drawers and a hanger bar but it was full of blankets and pillows so there was no place to put clothes. We had to keep our suitcases on the floor. The kitchen had no hot pads.

The host is very responsive and fair. Great location. It has essentially a courtyard/outside hallway that you walk through to access all of the rooms. This is very traditional set up and very cool way of living/experience! The only recommendation I would give to the host is to prepare the house with more stuff when electricity shuts down, which unfortunately can happen due to the hurricanes affecting the San Juan grid. I.e flashlights, portable separate gas stove, candles. The did have battery powered lights you could click in each room. I also think it’s a good idea to have more mosquito repellant/protection in the house (mosquito zappers, mosquito repellant, nets) as there is more of an interaction with the outdoors as you access each room from an outdoor hallway. Overall great experience with some minor recommendations.

A piece of Old San Juan character. Location was centric, close to entertainment and restaurants. Walking distance to everything in Old San Juan. Even with the limitations that the Island might suffer from electricity and water, our host ensured we were cared for by providing water jugs. Very pleased with our stay.

Beautiful larger size apartment with two bedrooms and a huge living area. Extremely open (balcony connects all rooms) yet also very private with a nice blend of in/outdoors for those that like that. AC is only in bedrooms. Like most everything in Old San Juan, close to everything one might need for a beautiful time in PR.

Very nice location!

The keypad confused us a little at the beginning but after we were good! Amazing location very walkable to so many stores and restaurants and night life. The rental was very cute and if we’re ever back in San Juan we will definitely be staying here again!

Old San Juan Charm

I loved this place. Perfect location, the ambience, beauty, the architecture, it was just what I was looking for. Carlos was the best in communication! I would definitely recommend this place if you want to experience the old school ambiance with a touch of modernization.

Great location

Property was exactly as described and very historically charming. The location was also excellent. We had some issues with water pressure and hot water for the shower but I understand there was work being done in the city that affected it. Would definitely stay again!

Great location, cool apartment!

We really enjoyed staying in this apartment, it was in a great location for walking around old San Juan. The apartment is super unique with its outdoor covered walkway to each bedroom, overlooking a nice courtyard. Great space for my family of 4 and it was on the top floor, so no noise from anyone staying above. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning was nice and I enjoyed opening the bedroom door in the morning to watch the morning storm. Apartment was quiet, clean and comfortable. Host was very easy to communicate with, answered all my questions and gave good recommendations. We would definitely stay here again!

Great spot in Viejo San Juan

Easy and timely communication with our host Carlos, and great spot in old town - walkable to anything in VSJ. Not the best shower situation, but I presume similar situations in any VSJ spots given the infrastructure. Make sure to bring your own shampoo / soap, and also note that there are no elevators.

Great Location for Walking the City

We enjoyed our stay. Although pictured, there are no toiletries in the bathroom (not even soap). There were no hand towels and only one washcloth. Be prepared that there is no coffee maker either. The bedrooms are the only ones with air conditioning.

Condo in center of Old San Juan

Property is unique. Kitchen and living area open to air and bedrooms have A/C. Close walking distance to all tourist attractions and beach. Neighborhood felt safe even at night and everyone is so friendly. During our stay, the home owner stayed in contact, however; electric was out due to weather for a portion of the stay and with no a/c or hot water made it very uncomfortable to stay inside. A backup is needed for guests, such as a generator or even battery operated fans and small lights. We were in a blackout and only able to use our phone lights which eventually die due to no electricity to charge them. Food had to be put in freezer or thrown away. This was my only complaint. This was not the owners fault but he should have a backup plan since this happens often in PR. Overall a good stay w friendly and attentive hosts.

Horrible Host

Upon check in there was no power to the property and this was not a regional or city wide issue. We booked this property for use of the laundry machine which of course, is not usable without power. We kindly asked the host for a refund so we can seek housing elsewhere. The host refused, even though he did not have a functioning property to offer us. Thankfully, after many hours on the phone with VRBO we did receive a refund and moved down the street to a much better and cleaner apartment with power. I thought it was pretty unbelievable that the host would not refund us when there wasn’t power to the unit prior to and after check in. Not to mention, he was very rude and unprofessional. The apartment was also very dirty and looked much worse than the pictures, the laundry machine appeared broken. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The apartment is wonderful, cute, and full of character. and its location in old San Juan is just perfect. Street parking is not an option, but there are multiple lots nearby. Bedroom AC units were a welcome respite from the heat. The host was communicative and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
