Welcome to Blairsden's oldest home, located on the corner of Bonta street and Second street right in downtown Blairsden. This home was originally built in 1912, the north half, and in 1936, it got a addition of the south half and the upstairs, the reason why the house has two front doors, Originally one door for each part of the house! The entire house was renovated starting in 2020 and completed in 2023, so it is brand new and ready to go for the next 111 years! Blairsden was originally a railroad town, where people would get off the train to visit the Feather River Inn and the Lakes Basin Mohawk Valley area. In todays world, its still the same location, location, location! Right across the street is The Grizzly Grill know for its long standing presence of fine dining. Also, within walking distance to the Corner Barn, which regularly has weddings and other events. Blairsden is 1 1/2 miles to Graeagle, 3 1/2 miles from Plumas Pines, 14 miles to Lakes Basin, 5 1/2 miles to Johnsville and the State Park. So if you are looking for convenience your not going to find a better location than The Bonta House.

Great place to stay

In town for a wedding, the house was recently renovated. It was clean, comfy, and just as the listing described. We had a great weekend, and would stay here again.

This is an incredibly new/clean home that was very comfortable for my husband & I to stay in. I messed up our booking and needed to stay an extra night. The host worked with us and took care of adding the additional night. We look forward to staying again!!

Wedding weekend rental

Great rental within steps of Blairsden restaurants and shops. Cute house with outdoor patio, easy access and plenty of towels, laundry, great ac for hot days, etc. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

This beautiful home is within walking distance of everything you need which is great and less than a mile from gas stations, beautiful hiking trails, and several lakes!

Adorable

The owners were amazing and answered quickly. The location was perfect for our needs and had everything we needed. We got to see deer, quail and turkeys. Restaurants close and sierra buttes trail stewardship is a great place to go for bike rentals.

Quaint and comfortable

The house was in a great location and close to all local happenings. Some businesses within walking distance. The house had easy access and we enjoyed the decor and the appliances in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and everything felt clean and cozy. Loved the rain shower head in the shower. We would love to stay again.

Lovely home with lots of extras

This is a lovely home in a convenient location for golfing and hiking. There are good restaurants within steps. Every room was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen is very well stocked with new cookware and utensils, plus there are some extra supplies in the kitchen (coffee/tea/spices) and bathroom (toothbrush/toothpaste) that you don't find in most rentals. It was also great not having to carry a key when we went out. I look forward to staying here again.

Convenient location and comfortable house!

The Bonta House is newly and comfortably remodeled. Kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfy, and everything is very clean and comfortable. The AC was incredible during a heat wave. Jason and Echo are VERY responsive and lovely hosts. The house is located in the middle of Blairsden, next door to restaurants, my favorite Ace Hardware, a wonderful yoga studio (Heart Root), and my favorite new clothing boutique, Stardust (check it out!). Walkable to the river to swim and an easy drive to Plumas Eureka and Gold Lake Road for hiking. Highly recommend.

Nicely updated in easy loaction

The Bonta House is a nicely updated home as advertised. Communication was great. Check in/check out was effortless. If I were to recommend anything to the owner would be to have a "hide a bed" sofa in the living room for a seperate 3rd bed option for kids that don't share beds well.For those that stay here.. tips for an easy stay. Extra towels are found in the closet downstairs. Bring extra water as there is a boil water for drinking use advisory (may be lofted when you come) and 3 the shower has a ton of settings with the two heads... to use the normal head, pull up on the tub filler knob... for the upper rain head, use the little lever above the temperature level.
