'Sanderlings' - Family friendly home near South Beach, Kid's Corner, Downtown

Charming house with all that you need for a peaceful vacation in South Haven. Great location and perfect for families; Kids Corner Park is straight down our street just 2.5 blocks away and 3.5 blocks to the public access beach. Downtown shopping and restaurants are a 10 minute walk away via tree-lined streets with sidewalks.

We have central air conditioning and ceiling fans in both main level bedrooms.

Plenty of seating inside and out. Make s'mores around the fire pit, enjoy the outdoor grill and hammock, gather on the back deck, enjoy movies, games, a record player, and wi-fi.

We are one block from the Van Buren State Park Trail. Nature preserves, golf courses, wineries, orchards all just a short drive away. Visit Saugatuck, Holland, St. Joseph, and other charming towns nearby.

Floor Plan Overview:
This is a two-story home, furnished for a comfortable Lake Michigan getaway.

The first floor consists of an open dining room, living room with convertible sleeping, a kitchen, cozy secondary sitting room, one full bathroom, two bedrooms, and closet storage. First floor bedroom has room for a portable crib if desired.

In the kitchen, we provide a coffee maker, blender, and toaster in addition to the electric stove, refrigerator, and microwave. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, cookware, spices, and utensils. Paper towels, dish soap, and garbage bags are replenished weekly.

The second floor has a single open bedroom with private full bathroom.

The basement is equipped with laundry facilities for guest use, and the garage is available for gear storage as needed. The driveway is long enough for 3 cars, and street parking is allowed (mid-March thru mid-November). Beach towels, wagon, and beach toys are available for use!

Garbage bins must be taken to the street for pickup and returned to the house mid-week.

We welcome suggestions and feedback you might have to improve the space or the experience of future guests. We'd love to hear your ideas!

The property and the owners made this stay feel like home, it is a great family and dog friendly home, there was room to play juat dance in the living room, the kitchen was bif enough and stocked enough for cooking, it came with beach toys ,a fire pit,deck and descent yard with accessories It was soo nice not to worry about parking either, a drive and street parking.

Great location for beach, town, and bike trail

The house is in a great location to walk to the beach, town, and bike path. The 4th of July parade route is a block away. Very peaceful neighborhood and quiet back yard. House is well stocked and the kitchen has everything needed.A great place for a family vacation!

Convenient, clean & comfortable. A great family friendly house that is blocks from the South Beach, Kids Corner Park and Downtown South Haven. The house is well equipped for a good stay, with ample cooking utensils and outdoor sitting area. The Hammock and Beach Bikes were an added plus. We had a wonderful week and will return again.

This cottage was extremely clean well equipped and convenient to both town and the beach!! It was a bonus to have some lawn games and beach toys that came with the cottage. Easy check in process and plenty of room!!! Thanks for sharing your place with us!!

Family getaway

We have been coming to South Haven as a family for decades. We’ve stayed in many different properties in town. This property had a great vibe and was a perfect place for us to relax between beach time and dinner. The music room was a great touch. Having on-site laundry was a huge benefit. The neighborhood was great, and close to the beach in the park, which made it wonderful for everyone.

Great location - cute beach house!

Excellent location! Quick walk to the park, beach, downtown shops and restaurants, and the marina! Quiet neighborhood. The property was as advertised and has everything you need for a great week at the beach/lake Michigan. Nice outside backyard area for lawn games, marshmallow roasting fires, and outdoor meals. The use of the garage was great for keeping beach and boat gear out of the house. Would book again!

Close to everything

We loved this house. It was cute with lots of character. The owners thought of everything. There was a wagon that we packed and took to the beach every day. Downtown, splash pad, Kids Corner park, and the beach are within walking distance. The owners were very responsive and welcoming and this was the perfect house for our 3 year old and 10 year old and us

House is very small, not well mantained! Renovation required! York

House needs to be cleaned well and renovated. Old furniture probably donated from demolished houses. Dust under sofa and beds is terrible, rags are not vacuumed properly. House is very small w limited closets and almost absent furniture especially in bedrooms. Common space is combined dining and leaving room, small even for a 4 people family. Basement is not usable in a very bad condition.
