This was our second time staying here, and the fact that we returned says a lot! We had a wonderful time, everything went smoothly, and Christine was a great communicator. If you have a dog, I highly recommend this property. Our dog loved swimming in the lake!

This is a great house, very well equipped with everything you need. Awesome lake access and close to plenty of outdoor activities. We were traveling with our two kids (6 and 4) and there were lots of kid friendly trails within a 30 minute drive. The house is very peaceful and the neighbors are very friendly. The lake is great for little ones as it has a gradual entry. We would absolutely stay here again. There’s also an awesome market (Modern Market) just down the road in town which is very convenient.

This property was impeccably clean. Most everything you need was provided. Host was very responsive to emails. I’d have to say just because of prices in California where I live and remembering upstate NY prices year ago I was surprised by cost. HOWEVER that being said doesn’t mean it’s not worth it. Probably me being out of touch with the finger lakes anymore. We were looking for a memorable experience in the area we grew up in and we got just that. We may come back again. I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful and relaxing visit to the Moravia Lake House on southeast shores of Lake Owasco. The property was easy to find and very close to the small country town of Moravia (where local sundries can be picked up at the Modern Market, delectable Perry's ice cream to enjoy at the local parlour, and the Ferris Glen State Park with it's waterfalls, hikes, swimming hole, and gorgeous gorges!The house itself was an eclectic mix of boho chic and country living vibes. It has a very warm and inviting feel with a large dining table and lots of couches for lounging inside, reading, and playing games. The waterfront is down a long gravel pathway where a charming mini-dock pokes into the clear rocky bottom of the lake front. Swimming was wonderful even in early September as the water was not cold at all and very clear and clean. It was lovely to sit by the water in morning and watch the sun hit the opposite shore (house is on the eastern shore), read, and enjoy sunsets and evening bonfires in the fire pit. The property is dog-friendly and we had out pup there who loved swimming and playing on the beach and met two neighbor dogs to play with as well. The neighbors were all friendly and welcoming in this small cove community. We had some questions about accessing the TV service and kayak rentals for the host and we would have appreciated more info about those things. But otherwise we had little issues during our stay.

What a wonderful review about our property and we thank you! We did respond to the kayak rentals right away though so not sure why this was mentioned. We gave a phone number immediately, name and hours of the business (Owasco Paddles). We may keep two kayaks on site besides the rowboat for future use since it was hard to find rentals. The TV instructions are in the binder on the counter. We double checked and it’s working fine. The next group has no issues. We would definitely love to host you again! We are so happy you loved all the same things we do at our very special place!

Wonderful

We loved our lakeside stay came just as advertised Love the crystal clear water, cozy cottage with nice new kitchen, wonderful enclosed porch with great views, but mostly the sunsets with a fire!
