PineBay Hideaway!
Two bedroom, 1 bath, private area. Sleeps 5 plus pullout sofa.
Vacation in Leelanau county. This fun two bedroom rental sleeps five comfortably and has a full kitchen, dining, living room and laundry. The unit has a separate entrance and living space from a down to earth owner who will respect your privacy and expects you to have some fun while on vacation. If you are old enough to remember the first Star Wars or a fan of L.O.T.R. you'll love this decor.
Minutes away from the Village of Suttons Bay, public beaches, Hop Lot and other great local eateries and shops. Enjoy Northern Michigan's clear starry nights and beautiful sunsets on a large deck with table, umbrella, chairs and small fire place or sit around a very private fire pit near the woods. Firewood is provided.
Suttons Bay, Fishtown (Leland) & sleeping bear dunes nearby.
Twin over full size bunk, queen bed and a pullout couch could sleep more people but there is only 1 bathroom. Coffee nook only seats 4 as does the kitchen table. Dining room table seats 8.
Surrounded by 15 acres of vacant land makes it easier to enjoy yourselves.
Coffee grounds and a brewer are provided. Bring your own K cups if you prefer. Paper goods are provided (Paper plates, bowls plastic silverware & cups.) Towels, washcloths, hand towels and soap are provided
The kitchen has most accessories that you will need: Pots and pans, rice cooker, slow cooker/crock pot, milkshake blender, pizza cooker, toaster, cappuccino maker, tabletop mixer, hand held mixers. Almost all utensils. (Text ahead of time to check on specific items)
You will have one side of the driveway to use. 2 or 3 cars can fit in your row
I am a pet owner and I understand that they cause wear and tear on a place. I am also a pet lover so I will allow 2 pets for $30 per night. YOU will still be responsible for any damage to the house. I.E. torn screen door, etc.
New stove, dishwasher, microwave & coffee maker, washer and dryer, side by side refrigerator. Propane and charcoal grills,
Queen pull out couch adds to the number of guests that can sleep comfortably but only 1 bathroom really needs to be considered.
I have tried to keep the decor fun.
The small refrigerator in the coffee nook is ideal for cold beverages. The electric fireplace can be on for ambiance or set to heat. AC for the hotter days will keep it cool 65" TV . I subscribe to Direct TV, Peacock and Netflix. Seasonal bay view.

Suttons Bay Getaway House
The house was everything we had hoped for, very clean and spacious. Nice view of the surrounding area. Open living and dining room was a plus. Kitchen was large enough for a few of us to be working at the same time. Bedrooms were comfortable and warm. We all agreed a return visit isn't out of the question!

The accommodations were great, however the master bed frame broke first day. I did not give a full 5 stars because of the lack of privacy as the owner & his grown son live upstairs, very nice and helpful but he did insist on inviting himself in the very first day we arrived and knocked on the door for various reason multiple times during our stay including late at night, being a mom traveling with our 3 daughters to stay close to my husband while he worked made us feel slightly uncomfortable.

Fun place to stay
The kitchen was big, new and well stocked with everything you need. Nice deck area with table and chairs and a firepit. Plenty of table room to eat and Darth Vader not really eat much. Owner was very generous with letting people use the memorabilia and we definitely tried to respect that so they will be nice for others in the future. The owner was also very accommodating and let us come a little early since no one was staying there the night before. There is no air conditioning, but the breeze kept it cool enough most of the time.
There were a few problems we had while we were there. One was fairly minor, the kitchen sink was not draining very fast. The owner said he would look into it after we left. The second was a little more serious. We had a problem with the bed the first night that made it unusable. The owner fixed the problem while we were out of the house and refunded a part of the amount we paid. He was very apologetic as well. The description says there is a hot tub, but the hot tub on the deck doesn't work. The owner said they use it to cool off in the summer. It wasn't a big deal as we were only 2 miles from the Sutton's Bay beach which was more interesting to us anyway.
Overall we really like staying in the place and would definitely consider staying again.

À propos de l’hôte
Hôte : Mark
My father was born and raised in Suttons bay. I grew up in Cadillac and attended Eastern Michigan University on an athletic scholarship. My grandmothers' place on Suttons Bay was always a treasured vacation. I won the Traverse City Cherry Festival 15k road race 4 times and love the area. I remember coming home to "Da Bay" after a summer of racing throughout Europe and telling my family and friends that this area is as beautiful as anything I had seen over seas. I built this place myself with an attempt to keep it simple. The road side has very little glazing for privacy. The seasonal bay view in the back has given us incredible opportunities to watch the wildlife. Deer, rabbits turkeys, ducks, pheasants and hawks like to frequent the yard. I did catch site of a cougar in the yard once. Power Island near TC is my favorite local boating location. My son and I have taken the boat to Mackinaw Island a few times but the money saved on a hotel doesn't make up for the gas it takes my 28' cabin cruiser. When I coached at Suttons Bay high school, We always started the season with camping and running all over Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.
