A Mountaintop Retreat

Charming, four-bedroom, two full bath retreat located on a secluded, one-plus-acre lot that borders Trough Creek State Park (which adjoins state forest and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lands which are open for hunting) and is less than three miles from Raystown Lake. This retreat features central air, a spacious, fully-stocked kitchen, open living and dining areas, two first floor bedrooms, and an additional family room in the lower level. You will enjoy lovely views from the large, wraparound deck or lower level patio.

Additional exterior features: boat/camper parking, fire pit,and smoker.

Towels & Linens NOT provided.

NO SMOKING - Evidence of smoking in the home will result in the loss of security deposit.

NEW for Summer '07 - Central Air

Trough Creek State Park serves as a trailhead for snowmobile trails located in Rothrock State Forest.

Outdoor Family Vacation

Spur of the moment decision to check out Raystown Lake and happened upon this lake house listing. The location to hiking trails and fishing spots was very convenient. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed the privacy of playing outside with our dog and cooking s’mores on the campfire.

The property inside and out was well kept. Inside was very clean. Unfortunately due to some people things get broken not the property managers fault. The information needs some updating since things like the house fan are now gone due to some very nice updating inside. If you go swimming at Tatman Run Beach be careful if you notice a good amount of goose droppings, Ecoli could be an issue. All in all this place is great, we will return if the chance comes along.

Met Expectations

Very nice cabin. Location is peaceful so you can enjoy sitting outside in the evening and close enough to the lake to go fishing throughout the day. I would definitely stay here again.

Family getaway

Location was nice and check in was easy. Had a problem with an exposed outlet that starting sparking smoking but luckily we were able to switch the breaker off and a handyman was sent to repair.

Great place to stay! Great location near Ray's Town Lake. The Cottage was quite the set up and clean. Had more supplies for cooking then stated in the review. Overall we will stay there again when the occasion arises

Nice quiet getaway

My family, friend and I stayed 3 nights at this house. The location is a bit of a ways from the local places. We hiked the nearby trough creek. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen, firepit and comfortable rooms. Jackie M

Perfect cabin near the lake

Very private cabin in the woods. My dog was super happy to not be on a leash. Plenty of room for boat turnaround/parking and additional cars. Very clean and good AC. Kitchen was very nice with new appliances. Easy short drive to Tatman boat launch.
