Our experience was great overall! Amazing cozy cabin with more than enough space for everyone. Pool table in the family room is a great addition to the space. Calvin was helpful before and during our stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again if the opportunity presents itself.

It was a peaceful and relaxing get away, our family enjoyed it very much. We went to Raystown lake which was a quick drive, had fun at the beach and had fishing expeditions. Trough creek, Tatman run and Seven points were all within a 15 min drive. The Cottage/wood cabin was so beautiful. It was so open and spacious. Definitely money well spent.

It was very clean, lots of room and new. The pool table and spa tub was a home run for us. It was nice and quiet too, very relaxing.

Great rustic style house/cabin in the woods...close to the lake

The house was great for our family. It had two master bedrooms with attached bathrooms. Plus two other bedrooms. Beautiful deck. The fenced in yard allowed play location for the kids. I saw on other comments mention of dust webs...true if you look for them... but welcome to the woods. Overall it has a clean feeling. Advice, bring hand towels... there arent any in the 4 bathrooms in the house. If we go back to Raystown...wed reserve this house again!

Nice place for large dogs

The house is nice, especially if you have large dogs. The fenced in deck and yard make it very convenient for the dogs to move around freely. There were some things that would make the stay even better though. The first thing was the cleanliness. I picked up 5 piles of dog poop in the yard, one of the large trash receptacles was already 1/2 full, and there was actually food left on several of the cooking utensils that we pulled out of the drawer(s). Lastly, the owners should purchase clothing racks for each room since they lock the closets. This would give guests somewhere to hang their clothes during their stay. Other than that, it is a very nice place to stay and I would consider staying there again.

Property says lakefront, nowhere near lake. Not even lake view. 2-3 mile drive away. House was great for us though, as we were here for fishing tourney. Wrap around driveway was perfect for towing 2 boats. House has lots of space and fenced in yard/deck was great for our dog. Cleanliness…not the best. Granted you’re in the woods with very high ceilings so you are going to see some cobwebs, no biggie. However, there were some areas that should have been cleaner…kitchen counters had quite a few dead bugs; coffee maker-coffee, moldy grounds still in it; oven was dirty, which was unnoticed until we turned it on and dirt caught fire. I contacted owner and he told me they take pics before each rental & there were copper liners in oven, which there were not. He suggested I take pics of everything to send to him but I had already went around and cleaned. Hairs in bathrooms and bases of toilets were dirty. I read previous reviews about it not being clean so this did not surprise me…I just wanted owners to know their cleaning crew is not doing a very good job, as I would want to know if it was my place. There is a Keurig-not listed but good to know. No wine opener and only 1 wine glass-bring your own. Garbage…it states in book address where community dumpster is to take all garbage to upon check out but no directions on how to get there. Owners reminder text gave us a different address so we drove around as we were leaving looking for it. Note: turn right out driveway, top of hill.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- We understand how the title and description may have caused confusion, as it mentions being “on the lake.” The home is located approximately 2–3 miles from Raystown Lake, and we’ve asked Evolve to review the wording to ensure it’s clearer for future guests.- The home is professionally cleaned and photographed before each guest’s arrival, and time-stamped photos are kept on file. The owner offered to share these images, as they did not show the issues described.- Guests were granted an early check-in and a six-hour late checkout, as well as an additional extension to accommodate their fishing tournament schedule.- The hot tub was unavailable during this stay due to a damaged pump, and this information was shared with the guest prior to arrival.We appreciate the feedback and will continue working with our cleaning and maintenance teams to ensure the property remains comfortable and accurately represented for all future guests.

Entriken cabin

The house itself is very nice and accommodated the 7 of us very well. However, the house was not the cleanest with food on the kitchen counters. The stove and microwave needed cleaning. There is an electric can opener on the counter that had a rusty lid still attached. The water has a horrible egg smell and we ran out of warm water at shower time. One of the pillows in the basement bedroom has spots of blood on it, but didn't notice until taking the sheets off before our departure to wash. The bar in the basement also needed cleaning. There is a pot bellied type stove in the basement (not for use which is fine, but there was pool table chalk broken all over it. The scenery there is beautiful as we saw deer and owls. Many different small towns close by and we visited the wineries. Overall, it was avery nice trip and probably stay there again, just hope it's a little cleaner.

A majestic week!

This home is lovely and extremely peaceful. The added use of the docked houseboat was a true treat. It is very dog friendly and our nine-month old Golden had a blast! The kitchen is well appointed and the deck was our refuge for soaking up the sun and reading for hours. The owner is remarkably helpful and easy to reach for the many questions that might arise. A stunning woodland retreat. We will be sure to return next year!

We enjoyed a wonderful, family weekend! The cabin was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. We loved the cabin’s design and decor! The owners even added a special touch of Valentine’s Day decor. We would love to come back for the summer and fall. Thank you for an amazing weekend! *we brought our own sheets & towels - this eliminated the need to wash the owners’ before we left.

Beautiful Cabin!

Beautiful setting and nice place with plenty of amenities! Easy check in and out process.. The only complaints I have are most of the bed sheets had what looked like pet hair on them.. And also the heating system is very uneven. The living room and kitchen wer comfortable but the master bedroom was freezing

We hope you had an enjoyable stay overall! The homeowner would like to note that the sheets are washed and dried between each use and the cleaning staff checks to be certain they have been washed. Since this is a pet-friendly cabin, the owner plans to also equip the cleaning crew with lint rollers to remove residual pet hair. Additionally, running the fireplace will suppress the thermostat. We wish you would have reached out while in residence with any of your concerns so that we could've had the opportunity to make things right. We wish you luck in your future travels! Nice home BUT...listing and cleanliness were lacking

The Good: The house is spacious and nicely laid out. We truly enjoyed the fireplace- the reason we chose this home. Deck space is very nice. I'm sure it is very beautiful in the summer time. The houseboat was N/A since we visited after Christmas. The BAD: The listing itself is misleading. It states a woodburning stove, also a reason we rented- does not work or is not in use. All the TV's but one require you to have subscriptions to watch anything besides very limited free subscription stations. NOT in the listing. Good thing we could access the playoff games using my subscription at least! The road to the house is NOT paved. It is a dirt/stone road. No problem in the summer however, we steered clear of homes like this in late December, luckily the weather held. As you may read, the management company DOES NOT refund any paid money. What you don't know until you receive your check in instructions- AFTER all your money is paid, is that you are required to wash and dry sheets and return them to the beds. This called for a 7:00am wake up to get out by 10:00. This also requires some trust on the part of the people who washed the sheets prior to you! Not real comforting. Cleanliness- The house overall was dirty. Upon arrival I had to vacuum a white grit off both the couch and loveseat. Upon removing the cushions the legs to both were still in plastic under the cushions. There were bars of soap left in the bathrooms that had been used and had hair on them. Upon opening the coffee maker there was moldy used coffee in the filter. The fridge behind the downstairs bar was unusable due to mold along with a moldy box of baking soda. Dust covered many surfaces. It was plainly obvious no professional housekeeper comes in. You are also expected to "tidy up" the home before leaving. Rather broad term to know what is expected. You are responsible for turning on the water to the home when you arrive and shut it off when you leave. Additionally, we need to unplug and move the dehumidifier and hose from the basement until we left. Overall- The area and the people around were friendly. I made contact to have wood delivered- fireplace and non-usable wood stove and the guy was great. I'm sure in the summer time with the boat and deck it might be worth the price. In the winter and with the cleanliness lacking I just can't recommend this property and we have stayed in many VRBO's and other rentals over the years. We had fun but the property was disappointing.

Stray, the homeowner would like to share the following message: "The advertising of a functional wood stove was an error on the part of the listing agent. This has since been corrected. Only the fireplace and the deck fire-pit are available for fires and guest use. The wood stove is in the process of being converted to an electric log adaptation. All TV’s are equipped with Roku cable standard channels and premium channels are not advertised, but available for purchase. We do not provide soap so the bar in question was left behind and the cleaning team in the future will be much more careful to remove left behind items. I encourage you to reread the listing as washing sheets that are provided is clearly outlined. I agree about the cleaning powder used on the upholstery and this has since been changed to a spray. Missing the coffee grounds was unacceptable and the cleaning fee was refunded to you." Best, the Evolve Team

Great weekend

We only stayed for a weekend and ended up not getting in until about 11 on Friday, so unfortunately we really only had Saturday here. When we arrived the water and heat had already been turned on for us, which was great since it was a cooler night. We were unable to check out the house boat due to the time of year and it being out of the water, but we did drive down and the area seems fantastic. We definitely want to stay again in the summer to experience the lake. We absolutely loved everything about the house and location, even though not on the lake. We loved the fact that it was extremely dog friendly even more. This was probably one of the most relaxing weekends we had in a long time, and will definitely be looking to return again.
