Welcome to Woodland Retreat — your peaceful Northern Michigan getaway near beautiful Mullett Lake. Perfect for families, couples, fishing trips, or Up North adventures, this spacious home offers comfort, privacy, and plenty of room to relax.

Located just off Round Point on Mullett Lake, you’ll be less than a mile from public lake access for swimming and only 1 mile from the boat launch, making it easy to enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking, and all the fun of the Inland Waterway.

The home features:
• 3 comfortable bedrooms with queen beds
• 2 full bathrooms
• Large secluded yard perfect for kids to run and play
• Plenty of parking for boats, trailers, extra vehicles, and outdoor toys
• Kitchen and Master Bath recently remodeled
Enjoy peaceful mornings with wildlife often wandering right through the yard, relaxing evenings under the stars, and all the beauty Northern Michigan has to offer.

Whether you’re planning lake days, bonfires, fishing adventures, or simply a quiet escape, Woodland Retreat is the perfect place to make lasting memories.

Pets are welcome only with disclosure and pet fee. Please add them to the reservation. Guests who bring a pet that is not on the reservation risk termination of the rental without reimbursement.

Late Check Outs / Early Check ins are available for a fee with prior approval. Please message regarding these options.

Miss Kayla is an awesome hostess!Our accommodations were clean, quiet, comfortable. The kids were thrilled with the movie selection when we got back from our exploring every evening. Everything you need and more is there to enjoy your stay.

Enjoyed our stay very much. The property offered plenty of room as did the home Mosquitoes made the attempt to keep us off of the patio but were not successful. I know VRBO doesn’t allow for phone conversations with the host but we would still find it beneficial prior to booking. We would like to return.

Had a wonderful time here. Very roomy, quiet, secluded area, and the beds are comfy. Kayla was very responsive and there was plenty of fallen wood around the property for our bonfires. The sunsets on the lake, were gorgeous. We will return.

Cutest little place close to launch

We absolutely loved this home- probably our favorite place yet! Home was super close to the boat launch we use and close to town. The home was clean and super comfy! Hosts were amazing as well! Favorite part had to be the wildlife that came to visit! Definitely will be staying again!

Very quiet, clean property. We spent all of day one on Mackinac Island, but returning to this property was easy and it was cozy.We wish that there was Air conditioning in all rooms but it was not too hot to enjoy the cottage. Very pleasant and comfortable.

UP North

Very clean and well supplied. I forgot about no AC but the nights were cooler so we did just fine. Nice areas to walk dogs. Close to water to swim. Aloha State Park was 20 minutes away and nice to visit and do some fishing.

Great secluded house 20 minutes from Cheboygan.

My wife and I had a great time at this house. All the room in the world for our boat, and our dog loved to be able to run around without being leashed up. Very convenient boat launch just a mile down the road, quick boat trip from there to the Cheboygan River and sand bar.

Comfortable stay and caring host

The property met our expectations and was close to lots of great hiking and the UP of Michigan. The yard is large and it was great having a fire at night. We encountered some unfortunate car issues that required up to extend our stay and the host was incredible in supporting us. I recommend this property

Loved it, loved the remoteness, proximity to the boat launch and was fun exploring Indian River and the vicinity. Only real issue was the air conditioning. The one unit in the bedroom is not sufficient to cool the whole house, especially in this hot weather.

This property is great for outdoor activities. Huge yard to set up outdoor games. House was accommodating for 6 adults. The only downfall is the air-conditioning is only in the master bedroom and no matter how hard we tried to cool down some of the house it never got below 78 degrees. I recommend not staying here when it's extremely hot out, unless you like sweltering heat.

Perfect family vacation

The house was perfect for our annual family long weekend vacation through the inland waterways. House was exactly as advertised. Fully furnished. Driveway was large enough for our pontoon that we brought with us. Had a great response from the owner when we had questions. Boat launch was less than 5 minutes from house. Highly recommend this house.

Mostly Comfortable, Needs some Upgrades

Nice location and the house was clean and welcoming. BUT, nearly all of the widows were inoperable in the living room and dining room; only the small kitchen window opened, and it was very warm and humid, with no central AC (not only uncomfortable but also a safety issue!). Also, the oven door was jammed shut and could not be opened (with oven light staying on). Could use some simple upgrades, too (no place to hang towels in master bedroom bathroom for example).

The description under air conditioning clearly lists "Room AC in Master Bedroom" not central air. If you point the room ac towards the bedroom door it does cool the rest of the house down considerably :) The window in the living room and dining room do stick, they are on the list of remodels. The oven door was locked. The display clearly said door locked and there is a large button with a lock on it which someone must have pressed to lock the door...you just needed to press the unlock button. If you had issues you should have called, would have been glad to help.

Older ranch- needs maintenance

Remote, older ranch house in need of maintenance. Some windows didn’t work and hadn’t been cleaned in years. Kitchen faucet would not turn off and had to be repaired on first day. In serious need of a de-humidifier. Enjoyed watching deer and birds, basketball ball hoop and WiFi.

Nice and Clean, Well stocked, but no central AC

This property was nice and clean. The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful. The place had just about everything. My only issue with the stay was the website indicated there was air conditioning in the house. There is no central air. The temp outside was in the 90's and it was hot and misserable inside. Two of the bedrooms had ceiling fans and all 3 had a pedistal fan, but that only pushed around hot air. It was too hot to sleep. The air conditioner that was in the house, was a portable air conditioner unit. This worked for one room, but everyone else was left in a hot, uncomfortable room. This house would be perfect in the winter and fall seasons, but the owner needs to add 3 more portable air conditioners (one for each room) for summer months. I docked one star for the air conditioning. If this were winter, it would be 5 stars.
