Starwood is a comfortable and spacious vacation home surrounded by beautiful woods and perfect for a large family. It offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a game room with 2 bunk sets on the lower level and 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom on the main level. The game room on the lower level offers a foosball table as well. The kitchen, dining and living room are all on the main floor. The kitchen is on the smaller side but opens up to the living room over a counter with 4 stools.

Our office is right here in the Powderhorn area with on-site maintenance, housekeeping, and reservation staff ready to help. You’ll always have support nearby, and if you’d rather not stop in, we’re also available 24/7 by call, message, or email. Whatever works best for you, we’re here to make your stay as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Nestled in the heart of the Upper Peninsula, the Powderhorn area is a true four-season destination.
The neighborhood also offers great local spots to enjoy—grab a hearty meal at Iron Nugget, sip a coffee at Copper Cup, try out a beer at Cold Iron Brewery or try a local favorite at Pit Stop, Uptown Café, or Club 28. You’ll also find shopping, live music, and seasonal festivals nearby that bring the community to life.

In winter, you’re just steps from Big Powderhorn Mountain Resort and a few miles from Snow River for skiing and snowboarding, along with direct access to hundreds of miles of scenic snowmobile trails. When the snow melts, the adventure continues with hiking and biking trails, waterfalls, fishing, and exploring the beauty of the Northwoods.

This was a great property! It was nice to have the privacy with nice sleeping options and the sauna was a delightful bonus! There wasn’t air conditioning and several of the screens were in rough shape and we couldn’t have all of the windows open due to bad screens or no screens. Overall though it worked nicely for us!

Starwood February 2025

The unit was clean and comfortable, and as pictured and described on the website. Nothing fancy, but we enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and the small sauna. I would rent this again.

Great property with a great location! Loved the open layout, the abundance of seating, and all the windows. The host was super responsive to communications and sent maintenence over when we had one small issue. The kitchen has everything we needed for cooking, there were plenty of clean towels for everyone, and the whole house was really clean. The only thing that would have made the stay better would be a screen on the slider to allow more airflow during the day.

Starwood

Starwood is a wonderful place for our family to stay. We always give the facilities our utmost respect. We did the same when we stayed at Hillside Haus many times and Mountain View also. Since 2015, we have enjoyed close to twenty monthly rentals with BPLA. Any chance we could get a reduced rate for an October stay at Starwood for 10 days? Thanks for taking care of us all these years!

Starwood

This was our 4th time there. We were terribly disappointed. The carpeting was full of pee stains. TV only gave us college football, cooking stations, and some news. We wound up with Lawrence Welk. A station from the 1950's. And some other OLD shows. The owners were too cheap to give us regular channels and for what we paid for 4 days, we should have gotten good stations. We would like the home owners to contact us.
