The house and property were great. The kitchen was very well stocked. Our host responded quickly to any questions. I loved all of the brochures that gave us great information about the area. Our only negative was that the pool wasn't heated. The week we were there was cooler otherwise it wouldn't have mattered. Pool floats were provided along with plenty of beach towels. We had a great stay.

That's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your stay! It's so nice to know that Bellavista Country Estate has made many beautiful memories for our guests. Actually, our pool hasn't been heated since 2020, and since it is a non diving pool and located in a very sunny location, our guests have been happy. If temperatures were unseasonably cool during your stay, that was likely the reason for the less than warm water. That said, we are considering re-connecting a pool heater for times when the weather is not cooperative. Hope that you can return for a future visit!

We had a great week at Bellavista Estate! The house is spacious and the kitchen well equipped for making dinners together. The location is convenient with many interesting things to do in the area. We enjoyed walking at the nearby conservation area. A few of us took tours of the Capitol building as well as the Schuyler Mansion, both in Albany. Others chose to visit the USS Slater, the Martin VanBuren House and Tanglewood. We walked around the nearby town of Kinderhook and also enjoyed the Art Omi Sculpture Park in nearby Ghent.However we all agreed the pool was the perfect way to spend our afternoons!Thanks, Laurie, for being a great host!

Wonderful stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner is super nice and friendly and a pleasure to interact with. Was a nice relaxing quiet spot to unwind with family and close friends.

This is a beautiful large house on gorgeous property. The host Laurie is very attentive to all questions and responds very quickly. She recommended a restaurant in town for the 10 of us, 5 couples, called Peoples Pub. We all had a great meal there. We cooked in Saturday night and the kitchen had everything we needed. The several game rooms were a lot of fun. I think overall, this would be an even better house for families because two of the bedrooms are actually in tandem, meaning you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the next. I think families would really enjoy this property with all it has to offer!

Hi Mary Ellen I'm so happy to hear that you and your friends enjoyed your stay at Bellavista Country Estate! The property is about 12,000 square feet, and so much to do on the premises with multiple rec areas, library, indoor gym & more! There are a total of 9 separate sleeping rooms in the house with 1 or more beds in each room. The 9 rooms also include the two oversized master suites on the 2nd floor that you mentioned (the Rose Suite is nearly 1,000 sq. ft) and both suites consist of 2 rooms each, separated by doors. If you count these supersized suites as one huge bedroom each, there are still 7 separate sleeping rooms! Over the years since 2011, we have hosted diverse groups, including yoga, women's, & corporate retreats, special birthdays, anniversaries, weddings etc, besides many families. We welcome all groups, and are beyond pleased that Bellavista has created beautiful memories for so many people❤️

We're so happy to hear that you had a great time at Bellavista Country Estate, our large classical style Georgian estate. Georgian architecture, named after the first four British monarchs of the House of Hanover, was first built between 1714 and 1830...and although Bellavista certainly does not date that far back, the estate, with 10 foot ceilings, beautiful crown molding, and traditional fireplaces does contribute to a historical vibe. Unlike most antique Georgian homes, the 12,000 square foot estate on 60 acres does offer oversized rooms, and plenty of space to enjoy the property. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed the roominess of the estate, and hope to host you and yours again during a future date!

The home was very comfortable and accommodated nine of us and allowed us to easily get read for a wedding at the same time with the five bathrooms. You could find a quiet space if you needed it. Laurie the owner and the host was wonderful.

Wonderful + Relaxing Stay

This property is beautiful and relaxing and had no shortage of amenities on-site and nearby to keep us entertained all weekend. The pool was wonderful to have, and the house is spacious, beautiful and well-maintained. Communication with the owners was excellent and they provided excellent recommendations for activities in surrounding areas as well.

Great Family Vacation

Great house and beautiful property. Teens were entertained with the pool, ping pong, and game room. Kitchen well equipped for large family meals. Great communication - easy check in and check out. We had a lovely stay!

Good family time

This large home has many comfortable bedrooms, some very large suites. The kitchen is very well stocked. Our family had a wonderful stay. The pool was great, and a center of our enjoyment. Kids also enjoyed the game room.

Great place.

Very, very nice. Had three generations there and everyone enjoyed it. Lots of room, both indoors and out. Had a wonderful time and are hoping to come back in warmer months when the pool is open. Would definitely recommend this place.

Great place, great host, pleasant experience

Laurie was great, she took care of our requests and even got us floaties for the pool for our kids. The home is beautiful surrounded by green, and we also spotted some deer on the property!

Vacation with friends

The house was very clean and well stocked. There were so many fun things to do - swimming pool, ping pong, darts, air hockey, gym, pinball, basketball hoop, foosball, etc. it was a great house for 4 families. The owner was very communicative and responded quickly to questions about the neighborhood, it was also very well located. Highly recommend!

A beautiful oasis

Great place to get away from it all!

We really enjoyed this property. There was more than enough room for our 4 grandchildren and 8 adults. The pool was the biggest hit with everyone. The property itself was just great. I referred to it as "our hundred acre woods" if you know your Winnie the Pooh!

Family Reunion for Parents' 80th Birthdays

Great time had by all! The pool is excellent, as is the barn - lots of fun things to do. (Some beds were flip out couches, so be aware of that.) Beautiful grounds and attentive owner. Would recommend.

So happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay! Just to clarify...there are 3 sofa beds and 9 actual beds. Our sofa beds are all topped with 100% down mattress toppers to offer a comfortable sleep. Almost all of our mattresses and 1 sofa bed were newly purchased in 2022. We will be replacing 2 of the sofa beds purchased pre-pandemic , and possibly switching out one of the sofa beds to an actual bed:) Thank you very much for your input. Huge entertaining house

We had a large group of 5 families. The house was spacious and comfortable. Kids loved the playroom in basement with air hockey and the huge attic. Plenty of room for our big group and 5 bathrooms were a big plus. Great location. Would come back in winter for skiing and summer to enjoy the pool and the outdoors.
