What a great weekend
.

We had a wonderful time in Shasta at the lake house. The weather was beautiful, the home was beautiful and just as described with everything once and wants and or need for a great time. From the beautiful views on the deck to the pool table in the front room, what a good time.

Shasta Vacation #15

House is located close to the water and the Marina. Wonderful view of the lake. Overall the house had all the things you would need. Kitchen was well stocked with pans, dinnerware etc. Only think missing was a large cookie sheet and a flat skillet to cook pancakes. My only complaint was the floor mats in the kitchen were very dirty and had crumbs stuck on them. Walking barefoot on them was not pleasant. They need cleaning. Also the shower door in the master bath needs fixing. There was a clip on the shower door to hold it closed. But I would definitely stay there next time we book a Shasta Vacation. Plenty of room for everyone and a very comfortable vibe just hanging out. Had a GREAT time.

Enjoyed our stay!

This accommodation offers a rustic charm rather than a modern ambiance. Nevertheless, it provides all the necessary amenities for a pleasant family vacation away from home. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparing substantial meals. The pool table and hot tub were thoroughly enjoyed throughout the stay, and the couches and chairs were both plentiful and comfortable. Despite being an adult, I found the children's room to be surprisingly comfortable as I shared this room with my grandson. This location is well-stocked, ensuring that we lacked nothing. We even had fun playing board games. We intend to return.

The place was absolutely beautiful and exactly as described. We loved the spacious living area with like the pool table, nice massage chair - it was a great place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the lake. One can sit on the outside patio for hours sipping tea , coffee and snacks. The cabin was also very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. I would definitely recommend Shasta Retreat #15 to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun getaway at Shasta Lake! There is one bedroom in the basement though which wasn't a problem with us, there is only thing that I might recommend is have more lights in the living room, when we played scrabble at night - thanks to Lori for keeping such lovely board games , the light wasn't enough.

We chose Lake Shasta this year—a new destination for us—and we’re so glad we did! June 2025

Picking House #15 was an easy decision. It looked like a beautiful lakefront home, complete with an amazing hot tub overlooking the lake. Best of all, they welcomed our dog, which made it even more perfect. Finding a pet-friendly home with such a stunning view of Lake Shasta was a dream come true. The photos on the website truly captured the beauty of the house, and we were excited to arrive. It was a very hot day, and stepping into the cool, air-conditioned home was such a relief—it’s one of the best air conditioning systems we’ve ever encountered. The house was spotless and decorated with a cozy, welcome in and relax feeling! The beds were incredibly comfortable with high-quality linens, and each room had its own fan, so we could turn off the AC at night and still sleep comfortably. The bathrooms were spacious and well-stocked with plenty of towels. The kitchen was fantastic—spacious, well-equipped, and opened up to the living room, making it easy to cook while enjoying the view and spending time with my husband. It had everything we needed, from cookware to beautiful dishes and glassware. The large refrigerator and reliable appliances were a big plus. The living room was super comfortable, with large recliners, cozy couches, and a big flat-screen TV with a great picture. The pool table was a fun bonus! Downstairs, the garage had a large washer and dryer, which was really convenient. There are also extras—ice chests, beach chairs, water toys, and life vests. One of our favorite features was the wall of windows across the front of the house, opening onto a fantastic deck with a wonderful lake view. The deck was thoughtfully built around a beautiful large tree, preserving its natural beauty. Beehive Dispersed Area, very close to the house, is a great place to take your dog and relax for the day, wide open beach off the lake. We were able to run our dog off leash. It’s a good idea to have water shoes as the shore is quite rocky and can get muddy. Our dog loved the house and deck just as much as we did—sitting on the deck, watching deer wander by and boats cruise the lake. This house was absolutely perfect, and we’d love to return someday. A special shout out to Lori and Dave, our wonderful hosts. They were incredibly responsive and a true pleasure to work with.

With over two decades of cherished family memories at Shasta Lake, we, David and Lori, came to regard Shasta Lake as the highlight of our summers. It's a place where families can bond, and where the range of activities appeals to every age group, making it the perfect spot for a family getaway.

Our love for Shasta Lake runs deep, leading us to make a life-changing decision in 2015 when we purchased our first lakefront home, known as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #1. The incredible experiences we had here were simply too good not to share and we knew our houseboat days were over after staying in this home.

A year later, we acquired the property next door, now known as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #2, bolstered by the popularity of our first home, which had become a year-round favorite.

In 2019, our two grown sons also fell in love with this wonderful place, prompting them to buy a home on the same charming street, christened as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #3. They entrusted us with its management, a responsibility we take to heart. All three homes required significant investment and remodeling as they had been neglected for years.

After many requests from dear friends and neighbors, in 2021 we started managing other properties, which further enriched our collection. Although we only own two of them, today, we proudly represent 19 remarkable homes, each carefully selected for its unique charm, quality, and comfort. We firmly believe that an extraordinary home is the foundation of an unforgettable getaway, and we want nothing less than perfection for our valued guests.

Our journey doesn't end here; it's an ongoing adventure inspired by our passion for Shasta & the surrounding areas. We are committed to carefully expanding our offerings, reviewing additional unique homes to provide more options for all the wonderful families that come to visit this recreational area year after year providing them a much needed lodging option.

Location, Location, Location. Homes that are lakeview or lakefront and on private land are extremely rare on Shasta Lake. This home is located in the highly desired Sugarloaf area of Lakehead off the Sacramento Arm of the Lake. Great views of the lake, mountains and wildlife with a short walk to the lake, marina and boat ramp (depending on lake level). You will love this home.
